Snakes are all over the place. But I get there early. One store gets 9 boxes in a day. I usually take six from there. Then I move onto the next store which always seems to have them, whatever time of day. Then another store that has them - but only in the morning. If you go after lunch, they're gone.

I'm waiting till we get visitors - they will think a truck came and delivered that lot. Not little old me, in my little wine wagon, making several trips!

I think you may need a burkha and pay by cash only if you want to continue to frequent Adsa!

  • Thank you. Good morning everyone. I'm still a bit shaky. But have read all the comments. Sorry to have brought the thread down etc. I hope someone will get something from my story. It could happen to others.

I agree with your post above. Its me putting my hands up. I was on here boasting about my cobra stash. I was warned about large apg's. But I honestly forgot about the 100.00 per month limit. It was at the back of my mind, but using different email addresses, seemed a good loop hole. I was comfortable with what I was doing and did not think in a million years, I'd get banned. However, since yesterday, I have stopped being comfortable. I will not be contacting head office, even though I know I could. Because I genuinely broke the rules and I deserve what I got.

I am very worried about loss prevention people writing to me. Thank you for that link earlier in the thread by the way. Its another thing I'm now worried about.

I'm upset that I didn't get any pasta. My two shops were left at the till yesterday. One was pasta and the other was the fajitas. But we'll live.

I appreciate all the support i've received on this thread and will continue to lurk and contribute when I can. I will also not be visiting any asda store for a couple of months at least. After Christmas, I'm going to try to test a store a bit further away, and see if I'm ok. I've had some very good messages and people are of the general view that this could have happened to many of us on here. This is a great comfort.

They have also said that after giving it a couple of months, and letting the dust settle i should be fine to go to other stores. Just not that one that I was banned from.

It is my personal view (I stress, i'm not knocking anybody), that to contact head office over this matter (and remembering that it was I who broke their rules), would only result in problems for all of us that benefit from the APG system. We don't want to raise its profile. I also would like to benefit from it once again, but perhaps in other stores. I'm based near S!!!!horpe (nearest big town) for those who wish to know where I am. I don't want to say any more about my location as I don't know who reads this thread.

    Seriously, look at this:

number 23. They accept responsibility for AGP limits. :) You didn't do anything wrong one could argue. As you said, you took the biscuit and you got caught...you got caught using AGP's... More than they said but you did what any of us do. I take the mick big time. I don't care. I have a good solicitor.
I also have a very good understanding of the law. ;)

Does it matter where she worked in the company? She actually was a sales rep so spent 1 month at HO training and they tasted all the products and saw a lot of them made.
I was only passing an opinion or is that not allowed any more?

Of course it is, which is why I'm sharing mine :p

Just because someone works for a company and doesn't like a product doesn't mean it's not a good product.

One exception springs to mind however
"How can you sell this for such a low price?", I say, "because it's total crap

There is usually a thread running on the techie board about cheap laptop deals. Open office is a free word processing package that is meant to be good.

I use open office...it's great, and free. I only use word really... but free..who can say it's rubbish for that? ;)
  • Just catching up from last night. Yoghurt Queen - so sorry to hear about what's happened, it has certainly led me to evaluate what I am doing - must admit I am a bit ashamed of myself over my use of the Uncle Bens rice coupon - won't be getting any more of these as don't want to draw any attention to myself! Xxxxx

Yoghurt Queen - I wouldn't worry about the Loss Prevention people. Firstly, have they got your address? Secondly, even though you broke the APG rules, the fact remains that the store allowed you to tender a large number of APG's in exchange for goods. If they didn't want to accept the APG's they should have refused them much earlier on at the till. They've accepted them now (even though they shouldn't) and its too late for them to say they made a mistake by taking them. You could have given them a any old bit of paper with £15 written on it and , if they accepted it as being worth £15, then thats their problem not yours.

You broke the rules and have admitted that but now just keep your head down and (in the unlikely event of it going any further) just keep saying that you didn't realise/forgot there was a limit and thought that, so long as the till accepted the APG's they were OK to use. Try to stop worrying - we've all sailed VERY close to the wind (me included) nd whats happened to you is certainly a wake up call for the rest of us.

So? Rules were made to be broken.

    Also, rules are not laws.
One could argue that the manager broke the rules by being a !!!!!!.

They accept (from a legal point of view) responsibility to the AGP handouts.

    Number 23 clearly says:

"We will NEVER issue a household with more than £100 of vouchers in a callendar month."
