    So problem seems to be with images/smilies in the WYSIWYG editor and post previews? i.e the images already showing as such when you click submit or preview on a post?

    Plain BBcode for the same seems to work, which allowed me to post the above screenshot?

    I keep getting the message even when trying to use the smilies on the right,
    it won't let me post with any on,
    & if i quote someone else's post who has a smily on i get the message again,
    then have to delete the other persons smiley from thier post,

    now i'm getting the message every other time even without any smilies on when trying to post on any of the boards,
    & in preview post.

    If you try posting a smiley as the actual code, it may let you post.

    i.e. rather than clicking the images on the right, put the actual code in.

    so [noparse]:D[/noparse] to give a :D

    It will if you click the preview post button or try to edit a post with a smiley in it with the WYSIWYG editor.
