Dear all
My computer was dead slow so I deleted programs and stopped some start up applications from running. I'm certain I didn't delete anything important because I googled everything before I deleted it. Here's what I did
1) control task manager, stop applications (I thought this wouldn't matter because I thought I stopped anything important it would just work on reboot)
2) msconfig, stop various things from opening on start up. Didn't Google anything here.
I've tried fixing it by:
1) crying hysterically
2) leaving it unplugged for a few minutes then switching it back on
3) doing the f8 thing where you go to last known safe thing.
It starts like normal but after about 5 mins goes back to blue screen of death. Any ideas?

Ianna,
Can you do the F8 thing again and try getting into Safe Mode? If so, then do system restore.0 -
How do I do that? It's now constantly going to the blue screen and I can't get to the start button or anything.0
