Are they really that 'in the way' - I remember when I was that age and either had boyfriends round or went to their houses that we just stayed in the bedroom for pretty much the entire time. Would say hi to the parents on the way in and bye on the way out and that tended to be as much as we saw of them :rotfl:
If it is bothering you though I'd agree with those saying have a few 'set days' a week where you don't want guests round.

Yes it's lovely they are all happy etc and you don't want them or their gfs to feel unwanted but remember this is you and your OH's home too, you need time at the weekend to not be bothered by anyone so set out rules, there are certain days and nights when they can't come round, it's not fair to let them rule the roost, everyone needs to be happy.

I would try this reasoning. It's as fair as possible, they might just realise that!

Thanks, I appreciate the comments, it bothers my OH a lot amore than me but it does get me down stressing abut it too. It's not that they are always under the feet, rather that me and Oh don't get any alone time and are lucky to get one day at the weekend to ourselves, OH has an especially stressful job and just isn't in the mood sometimes.....but then other times its great to have them round. Makes it harder as there are 3 of them at a similar age who,all want the same time with the GF at our home - in reality I do need to stop pandering to their needs and think of myself and Oh first then give them some ground rules then hopefully that will make for a happy home all round...

.....You can always tell them that you want to give your OH a nice "romantic weekend" and that you want it to be a surprise, so would they please be aware that you intend to create a "lurve nest" in the living room, so will they please go straight upstairs to their rooms :D:D:D

Chances are that you will "gross them out" - and they'll stay away for a whole weekend ....and might even check what you intend doing before inviting everyone over ..........D :D

I completely understand where you are comming from Dottyanne. We have a similar thing going on with DS1 and his GF.
They met at Uni but both originate from different parts of the country so when they aren't in Uni their time is split between our home and her mum's home.
She's a lovely girl and nice enough to be around, but being students they don't contribute to the house financially yet eat mountains of food and you should see the electricity bill when they've been home :(
I don't mind having them odd weekends, but like you, DH and I work hard all week, and it's difficult to relax when you have a guest in the house for days (sometimes a week) at a time.
Last summer was too much and tbh I'm not looking foreward to this comming summer.
I know I need to talk to DS1 about the situation but i feel mean about it.....
    Difficult times.
