Hi. I'm here, and have been for some time but doing the usual domestic things first. I saw my A vs M list developed a life of its own yesterday with all the Mullers and m'buy glitching. I gather today has not been a glitch day but the Mullers still comparing to the M price of any 10 for £3.00.

I've done a special price collection from today - and the usual Wednes one will still take place this week. What I've decided to do is leave the current list in place, in case of any disputes on any non-glitching M comps, and also for historical info. I'm going to repost much of the list tonight, which will then cover this week (and I'll update the Monday one, which I'm posting hopefully shortly, later in the week with the Wednes. prices so it should cover us for this week). If we reach the magic number of posts and move to a new thread, I'll repost the new list on that thread (of course, also amending any link/referral details).

To give a summary, almost everything on the list you've been using is carrying over into the new list, except that all Weightwatchers are removed, including all the WW meals and the cheesecakes which have all now increased in price at M. The Kipling Viennese Whirls have doubled in price at M, so are now being deleted. The Cadbury Crunchie offer has moved from the 4 pack to an 8 pack in M. I've deleted the item, and also the KP Crunchies crisps that I couldn't find today in M. The Asda Bunched Beetroot has gone, because M's weight appears to vary quite a lot whereas Asda's is fixed weight and therefore considered non-comparable.

Someone mentioned the White Finger 6 rolls comparing yesterday A 65p vs M 65p. This is indeed correct pricing. However, it would be 'better' to buy in 2s, as M have 'any 2 for £1.00' on that item.* Details will (eventually) appear in the new list.

The Muller Rices are *not* on the offer in M. For now I'll transfer the ones that are currently on my list into my new list - and add/delete more depending on what is confirmed or not.

I'll mention two main things:

There is a 'flash offer' in M on the Pringles this week, only lasting one week, starting today ending 10/2/13, the 190g Pringles cartons are 99p each. This is the first time I have seen Pringles in any of the major supermarkets being sold at £1.00 or lower per carton, since December 2011. Maybe I have missed them being on offer at a lower price. However, this is handy as the cartons I bought at the end of 2011 have now been, only just, used up. So it's stock-up time - possibly.

M have the following:
Cheese & Onion, Original, Prawn Cocktail, Salt & Vinegar, Sour Chives & Onion and Texas BBQ.

There is apparently another layer on approval on the APG however where a product is more than 50% lower in price in M than it was the last time. This may mean that the Pringles come back N/A for now or at the full price.

Secondly, it seems again that someone from M is reading my posts!! (Though I wouldn't claim that I have any power.) Last time I said the number of pears in their packs had gone down in size and, almost immediately, the pears packs (the pears in them) went back up in weight.

Yesterday I suggested that M was significantly more expensive on its 'M Savers' range. Well, now, a number of items equivalent to the S'price range have gone down in price in M!! Not every one of them, but quite a few. The equivalents of the S'price Soups are now all 24p in M so, even if T follows S and increases its prices, I am still safe for the rest of the week, buying vs M!:j:j No worries over the Tomato version anymore, even if it continues to show OOS for T on MSM.

Therefore A S'price Soups, Tomato, Vegetable and Chicken, are 24p for M. One of each - three possible fillers. Careful on the Vegetable as the APG collectors appear to use M stores that don't stock the Savers vegetable soup. However, for some people, the A S'price Veg Soup is much like water - then again, I don't mind this, and (perhaps rather strangely) actually like it. I like water, so why would I not like this?

M also have the equivalents of the SP Shaving Foam and the SP 2 Toothbrushes now at 26p and 18p respectively. So it's back to the Shaving Foam vs M (but T and S also now have it at 26p). SP Toothbrush (2) showing as OOS for A on MSM, so possibly a Tv M filler unless A comes back into stock (bear in mind if it's OOS for A it might not count towards the 8 items).

As you all know, the A SP Chocolate Chip Cake Bars (5) are a comparable item to M:rotfl::rotfl:. They've 'always' been 50p in A. In the last month, probably more, the equivalent has been 55p in M. Today, it is at 50p, so it's back on the A vs M list once more (which will be reflected on the list on here in due course). Beware the SP Fairy Cakes though - M's equivalent has increased in price! (So has Sada's, I now notice from MSM. T is still currently 60p, so A vs T perhaps until T soon follows suit.)

I can confirm the equiv. of SP Fish Fingers are 60p in M (if that had changed upwards, they would not be in the 'carryover' list that I am posting shortly, which will then be added to tomorrow night).

I'll check some more items on this brand level, and add them on if they are same price in M as everywhere else (I don't think any are going to be lower in price than elsewhere). SP Lasagne 250g - no - M is 39p, so it's T Eday Value Lasagne vs A at the minute, as A is lowest at 32p (and more than 10% lower)

Hope this helps. It's more posting of listings and editing. In the meantime, good night.:)

* "Better" to the extent that you will use up two and are spending more buying 2 than you would buying 1 - even if the price of 1 only is "inflated".

A vs M 4/2/13 - 10/2/13 (-11/2/13?, or to 12/2/13 if you catch before whenever APG site's update has been done? Perhaps they mean overnight, in early hours of Tues.?)

List is below - those who are confident enough can skip the intro.
[Please see my post no 8188 http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=59212599&postcount=8188 for some info. to be incorporated into this list in due course - edit 9/2/13: a vain hope perhaps!!!]

Please note that the information about other supermarkets (T, S and W) in this list has not yet been updated and may now be out of date. (Also, Sada prices may have changed, but you're looking at 10% cheaper than M. Sada prices to be updated here in due course.) This is indicated by a * before the product name or group (e.g. in the case of the Mullers, I have just asterisked once (Mullers) - this means all Mullers in the list ("as a group"), none of the Sada prices checked again yet (though they are doubtless still 65p each in this case! Perhaps not a good example!) Typical to begin with a whole paragraph of explanation!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

"Vs M only" usually means the prices at other competitors are more expensive than M (and usu. more expensive than A as well) 'Until' dates are the stated expiry dates of the offers in M (remember offers can be withdrawn before these dates though).

Beware mixing and matching (last week the milk and the Baxters didn't recognise the M multibuy - split into two diff. shops). Last week 3x semi worked, but results from the APG can change even if the M and offers prices don't.

*Nestle Toffee Crisp Bars (4x43g)
£1.00 £1.00 (or vs T until 26/2 - or wait till after 26/2 to see if mispring at T)
*Nestle Aero Biscuits (7)
£1.55 77p
*Nestle Aero Bubbles Orange or Peppermint (113g)
£1.00 £1.00 (or vs S until 19/2) - I now think T version of Peppermint is 113g but stated on tosco.com as 135g
Nestle Vice Versas 126g £1.00 £1.00 (vs M only)
*Nestle Aero Peppermint Biscuit (7x17.9g)
£1.55 77p
*Maltesers Box (120g) £1.00 £1.00 (vs M only) (but not as good as my cheapest Maltesers Box vs T's now long expired offer)
Twix Biscuit Fingers (9x23g) £1.00 £1.00 (also vs S) - for some reason I have a vague recollection of removing these from a list - is there something equivalent that is better per 100g?
*ASDA Smartprice Strawberry Individual Cheesecake (90g)
31p 31p (also vs T)
*McVitie's Lyle's Golden Syrup Cake (290g)

Buy in 2s:

*ASDA Chosen by You Teatime Treat Lemon Bakewell Tarts (6)
£1.30 each Any 2 for £1.80

*2x ASDA Chosen by You Egg Custards (2)
68p x2 Any 2 for £1.00
ASDA Smartprice Garlic Baguette 170g 32p 32p (also vs T and S) - not sure I understand this, but MSM appears to have a duplicate entry for this product: exactly the same name and size but one is showing A at 34p and N/A everywhere else and the other showing A 32p with T & S 32p (and no M of course, but M is 32p on its equivalent)
*ASDA Smartprice Crumpets (6)
37p 37p (also vs T)
*McVities Galaxy Caramel Cake Bars (5) £1.20 65p (vs M only) - take advantage of A's multibuy if the m'buys start glitching?
*Angel Delight Strawberry 59g 48x 3 Any 3 for £1.00 (or vs S also in 3s)
*ASDA Chosen by You Party Cake Traybakes - 15 Servings (Vanilla or Chocolate)
£5.00 £5.00 (also vs T)

*ASDA Chosen by You Chocolate & Cream Sponge 6" cake
£1.35 £1.00 (this has returned N/A some weeks ago: depends on whether MSM see this as comparable or not)
*ASDA Chosen by You Chocolate Cream Eclairs (4) £1.00 £1.00
*ASDA Chosen by You Breaded Cod or Haddock Fillets (2 per pack, 284g)

ASDA Smartprice 12 Mini Savoury Eggs (240g)
83p 83p (however, I have no M weight on these, so may be safer to compare vs T or S at same price as M until weight can be confirmed as the identical that I strongly suspect it is)
Jus Rol Puff Pastry Block (500g)
£1.10 88p until 17/2
Jus Rol Shortcrust Pastry Block (500g)

M have Cheese & Onion, Original, Prawn Cocktail, Salt & Vinegar, Sour Cream & Onion and Texas BBQ.
£1.50 99p (4/2 until 10/2)
NB I've seen the Prawn Cocktail and the Sour Cream & Onion confirmed as working. Pringles Original, however, is coming back N/A on the APG, perhaps because the agency's price scanners are humans without the level of pedantry needed to scan absolutely every item.
*ASDA Smartprice Coleslaw (250g)
25p 25p (or vs T)
*ASDA Smartprice Potato Salad (250g)

*ASDA Smartprice Chicken Roll 400g £1.00 £1.00 (vs M only)
ASDA Smartprice Pasta Shapes 500g 30p 30p (vs M only - M is Savers Pasta Twists, may be N/A but worth trying?)
*ASDA Smartprice Apples by Weight
£1/kg £1/kg (vs M only)
[Strike]ASDA Loose Savoy Cabbage 80p 50p (6/2 onwards)[/Strike] crossed out due to Aldi having their Savoy Cabbage at 39p as an Aldi Super 6
ASDA Brussels Sprouts (500g) (fresh) £1.00 £1.00 (also vs T and S, but not as good per pack as vs T's previous, now expired, m'buy offer)
*ASDA Smartprice Fruit & Nut Mix (200g)
56p 56p (vs M only)
*Nivea Pure Fine Talc (300g)

*Wilkinson Sword Extreme 3 Beauty (4) - Aloe & Jojoba £4.00 £2.50
*Clean & Clear Blackhead Cleanser (200ml) £2.00 £1.97 (vs M only)
*Air Wick Filter & Fresh - Fresh Linen and Aqua Sky £16.00 £7.98 until 17/2 (if you have a MOC as 10% off £7.98 is too expensive for me)
ASDA Smartprice Pine Disinfectant 1L 31p 31p (also vs T)
ASDA Smartprice Shaving Foam 250ml 26p 26p (also vs T and S)
ASDA Smartprice Conditioner 500ml 24p 24p (vs M only, unless it's being used as a trigger item vs a shop elsewhere that produces a big glitch)
[Strike]Finish Rinse Aid Lemon 400ml £?.?? £2.34 until 17/2[/Strike] Other brand at Aldi on offer cheaper
*Oral B Trizone Refill Heads (4) £10.00 £10.00
*Oral B Floss Action Refill Heads (4) £10.00 £10.00
ASDA Smartprice Toothbrushes (2)
18p 18p (also vs T and S)
*Listerine Interdental Reach Toothbrush £1.80 99p (vs M only, seeing that I missed T's 85p of about a year or so ago)
*ASDA Protect 50m Dental Floss £1.60 75p
*Colgate Plax Multi-Protection Soft Mint Mouthwash 500ml £2.00 £1.64 (also vs T or S) - possible glitch on Colgate since I notice the one available in A for £2.00 is actually a twin-pack - A do have multi-protection soft mint single but it's 250ml and £1.79. Is the £2.00 twin being compared on APG to the £1.64 versions in M, T and S, which appear to be singles? Therefore, two within a pack for £2.00 but refund as if you only got one in a pack.

T Eday Value Table Salt 1kg 34p 34p (as above, except equiv. avail. in S but same price so could still be Tvs S)
Wilkinson Sword Extra II Beauty (5) Razors - Aloe Extra Grip £1.99 £1.33 (M is cheaper per razor than Avs S is on the 10 pk even with 10% cheaper - 5 pk obviously NA for A on MSM)

T Toffee Popcorn 200g - buy in 2s: £1.00x 2 Any 2 for £1.35 (in the light of the ASDA Toffee Popcorn (bakery) 200g no longer being on MSM, but check again before buying at T)
T Eday Value Chicken or Vegetable Stock Cubes (10) 10p N/A (also vs S or A N/A) - also, as a deliberate (not really!) snub:rotfl: - see posts around 3pm 9/2 - Beef now excluded as I've found the T Eday Beef stock cubes appear to be 10*9.7g whereas S Basics, which do stock beef stock beef:rotfl: version, are 10* 10g (according to MSM).

Unloaded them at about 8:30, had some tea and now I'm catching up:) Didn't take much unloading though as there was too much competition of the unsavoury type;). Had to make do with peaches, apples, oranges, bread, stir fry veg, 5 pots of mini melter cookies and 10 bunches of flowers. Might have to go again tommorrow to see if there is any chicken or fish and give the fruit/veg/flowers a rest:)
Does not sound like you did badly. See if locarr will give you his gun for a week if he responds I wont see it ;) so let me know and I will help you out.

Thank you all for the responses, not sure how to include the messages you posted in my reply, like I said new to all this.
I have been reading from the start but it is very confusing to me, I noticed ppl mentioning wombling and i no they mean receipts but I don't know how they make money from them.
Also the APG I don't get how that works.
I did download Shopitize on my phone as I saw that mentioned but trying to get my head round it.
If I shop in a store and they are cheaper can I get that money refunded or does it go onto a gift card ?
Sorry for all the questions but i'm a newbie who needs lots of help at the mo, thanks again.
