Swagging in 2013 - Part 1

Today I had a pleasant surprise after how hard yesterday was - two offers I'd put tickets in credited, taking me up to 70/80. NOSO/poll/vids and a search put me over the threshold. I'm pretty pleased. Might still do some tasks later as I'd like a round 100SBs but not bad...0

Just logged on and I had already met the target as I have had three SponsorPay tickets pay up, taking me to 122 SBs! :j0

Am I right to think I just need to sign up and can earn a few quid by searching, playing games, watching videos etc?
To be honest Swagbucks are not doing this out of the goodness of their hearts - they are out to make a profit, like every company. Happi pointed out they take 50-55 percent of our earnings (at least with surveys) - but they are usually consistent with offers, vids, and of course SBTV and games - they have adverts so you can see how the revenue is generated. Surveys have been terrible for months but hopefully they will pick up... that's another story.
But yes Swagbucks is legit, but it isn't some magical fantasy cashcow... you have to work hard for the money.0 -

Thanks for the warning Mrs YB. I've been on SwagBucks for 6 months now and recent fraudulent attempts on my credit card have made me take stock of things. I have only used the credit card twice in the past four months as I am trying to clear the balance - both times for offers on here related to gambling sites - Nostalgia Casino was one and the other was a lottery syndicate trial - so it must be related to one of them. The attempts were for small amounts to other gambling sites - luckily BarclayCard picked it up as I have no history of gambling. For me, being credited for offers and downloading games is the exception rather than the rule so is it worth it? I have downloaded games, apps and toolbars and not been credited then when I do a ticket and send a screenshot they say it is in the wrong format. 'Paulshorse' did very kindly explain what to do but my computer skills are very basic I'm afraid.
Yesterday afternoon I went through everything on my computer and deleted everything that was on my computer as a result of trying to get SwagBucks. It is amazing the difference it has made to the speed of my laptop.
From now on I am going to be very selective about what I go for on here. The posts from people who have done the offer are really helpful. Apart from the fraud I get hundreds of Spam emails every day now which is obviously a result of filling in all those pages of questions when you try for a competition offer. Answering No to all of them doesn't seem to affect Spam emails or telephone calls.
I would like to end on a positive note because I really do appreciate what I have got out of SwagBucks since I joined. It made Christmas a lot easier for us. I won't mind if I get half the amount of SwagBucks every day from now on, I am still getting something I wouldn't have had. I am just going to try and reach the daily target and stick to surveys, daily poll, NOSO, games, videos, the odd task and recommendations on here that don't involve downloading something.0 -

I've contacted them and I've even contacted some of the FB companies for games you have to sign to and reach a certain level, for example. I know it's a kind of situation where it's not necessarily Swagbucks fault, but 1/9 is really quite poor, and clicking videos all day is becoming a conscious chore now.
Someone (one of the companies) has to have a ccountability in that sort of situation and it's quite farcical, frankly, to have to screenshot and edit and save in paint; each offer which you complete.
What I do:
Printscreen (on my new lappy it's function+printscreen)
Go to imgur http://imgur.com/
Paste in the file (CRTL+V)
Upload (enter)
Edit (I always forget this part) to crop it
Email the URL to myself just in case I need it or leave it up in a tab
No account to sign up for, no endless printscreens on my desktop, it takes all of 15 seconds0 -

Do you compare shop-and-earn offers with other sites ? When I had a quick look, I got the impression that topcashback was generally a bit more generous.
Though I see now there are some that are only on swagbucks, or slightly more generous there.0 -

Wow! Another SponsorPay ticket has just come good - another 53 points!
It's definitely worth raising tickets! I'd given up on them as it's been a good few days since I raised them!0 -

It does seem so at first but you can. I've had £40 in Amazon Vouchers and nearly £200 in M & S vouchers since I joined in mid July. It does seem too good to be true at first - perhaps that's why I haven't had any luck with referrals.
Have a good read of the posts on here when you get time. The advice is invaluable. Good Luck!0 -

Still waiting on bloody Change4Life though :rotfl:
I'll need a lot of transfats to help me through the waiting game0
