Is the answer - depends on how many days after eating it do you want to smell of garlic
I am told that sweating the garlic in a little butter in a frying pan helps to reduce the amount of garlicy smell that comes out of your pores the next day though.
I was watching Goodfellas the other dayThey said when you slice it really thin it melts into the oil, I tried that and it doesn't :rotfl:
I used 3 in the end , sliced it really thin, fried slowly with olive oil, added the onions, browned the mince seperately then added the mince to the onions/garlic.
Added more olive oil
Added a pinch or 2 of dried Oregano
1 oxo
1 tin chopped tomatoes
1 1/2 cartons of passata
Currently simmering0 -
Shop one - A vs T
Shop two - A vs W
And then repeat :j:j:j
& now add - A vs S
What the heck A vs the world :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Just want to check something....has been a while cos I've been really busy. But the Tesco price check works against sainsbury's doesn't it?
So rather than go to sainsburys to take advantage of their 1/3rd off baby things I could get them from Tescos and then get a voucher to use later at Tesco.
Or is my brain a bit messed up?
My 6 year old has chicken pox and its a bit difficult for me to get as far as our local sainsburysBaby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.
Love to my two angels that I will never forget.0 -

Just wondered if anyone had got any till spits from tosco over the last week?
All of my cards I use for small shops maybe 2 or 3 times a month apart from the main one but I've just thought I can't think when I had a till spit recently, maybe 3 weeks now at least. I think the last one I had was for diary
I've sorted my Sainsburys till spits out this morning and they are nothing to write home about either but at least you do get some every week“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

I've only got a couple of jars of dried stuff. Seen on a few recipes that they only use Oregano
I use dried oregano and some fresh basil as well (or some dried will do). I also put in a touch of ground nutmeg which brings out the flavour too. I've tried all sorts of recipes and just tend to mix and match ones I've found and now stick with it. A bit of Jamie/Gino and me (oo err). Gordon Ramsay's lasagne is the best I've ever found.0 -

When God had made the earth and sky,
The flowers and the trees.
He then made all the animals,
The fish, the birds and bees.
And when at last He'd finished,
Not one was quite the same.
He said, "I'll walk this world of mine,
And give each one a name."
And so He travelled far and wide
And everywhere He went,
A little creature followed Him
Until its strength was spent.
When all were named upon the earth
And in the sky and sea,
The little creature said, "Dear Lord,
There's not one left for me."
Kindly the Father said to him,
"I've left you to the end.
I've turned my own name back to front
And called you dog, my friend."N1LDA0
