I am always looking for a miracle cure, my nails are desperate - 3 broken in as many days :(

I've been using it a fortnight and it hasn't made a blind bit of difference!

Its been pouring here all night and all morning, one of my near neighbours house is flooded, an underground spring has sent water up through her floor, the whole of the ground floor was over foot deep in water, it came up through the floor then flowed out through the front door!!

Evening all. Went on a GLAM mag hunt today and found not a single magazine on the stands. Am I too late? Oh well. :o

Apparently, the world ends tomorrow as per the Mayan calendar :eek::eek: (I think it's meant to have ended about 50 times this year already!). If it does, then it's been lovely knowing you all. Thanks for all the tips and advice and information, especially to all that answered my newbie questions.

I am more than sure I will be on here tomorrow and the world will still be in tact, but just saying in case it isn't. LOL.

Big hugs to anyone that is suffering with the floods. All the poor loves in Hampshire, my heart goes out to them :A

I think so, I haven't found any for a couple of days, I got a £3 one with my BS order and bought a mag before we knew what the codes meant and that was another £3 one so put one of each of my sisters' stockings :D

  • Trouted at Mr T just now - usual Extra store and was rammo, did a £40 Finest shop but the young SA would only take ONE Finest coup !! Even read out the T&C to me! And I found 2 DTD Finest uncooked gammons but SA and supervisor at CS would not back down over the fact they were wrongly priced, said they were an old batch, even though I showed the SEL as showing half price. A call to HO I think shortly...

  • True, and when I say sit back drinking beer we both know that wouldn't have happened.. Back then blokes had big hair (nearly as big as the ladies, we drunk coctails, wore bright loud pink, yellow or blue shirts, probably had ponytails, pointy shoes, and, (believe it or not) some of us even wore legwarmers.

The crazy thing is that, now, 30 years later, I walk through town and see teenagers going through exactly the same fashion trend. Dodgy haircuts and a lot of similar clothing. What I don't get though is jeans half way down their legs.

Talking of fashion, a major no, no that seems to have surfaced recently is that women have started to wear see through leggins. Trust me, unless you are a size 14 or less, please keep your buttocks hidden under a long jumper or coat, Anything not pert or hidden is dodgy as far as us blokes are concerned.

If I have come across as fattist, I apologise, that is not my intention. However, I do believe that fat people (like me) should try to hide as much as poss and that the more voluptious ladies should think about what they wear. Being fat is fine, being fat and showing us the outline of your thong under your see through leggins is not.

Please do not kill me for this obviously contravertial post.

He he, this made me laugh SFSB:rotfl: and I agree.

Afternoon all. Had a lazy morning, iced my fifth cake and 2 more to go! Avoiding shops so walking up to costa coffee near our house. It's mega busy mid week with commuters and empty at the weekend - just how I like it :D
Hope everyone has a good day
