The Compers Inn Part 39

Have had a busy day with food and Xmas shopping in the morning and a walk in the afternoon when the sun came out! We bought some photo albums as we have given up trying to find the size we used to use and bought the smaller ones so DH has had me filling them with the 170 photos that were sitting about. I ordered 100 more prints from Snapfish yesterday too as they have an offer for 100 prints for £4.99 including postage. DH can have the job of writing where they were taken in the margins now. We love our pics - not up to Becks standard but fun to look at.
Haven't done many comps yet though!Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Firefly, that black bun looks nice, it wounds a little like Christmas cake only with pastry?
 SYL
 hiya sylv, welcome back :j:j
yes, the black bun is a bit like christmas cake but it's usually made for the new year in scotland, my dad & all his side of the family were scots so celebrated hogmany more than christmas, grandma would make it at christmas for the new year :j

No celebration of a Scottish Hogmanay and days of First Footin' would be complete without a Black Bun.
Black Bun is a rich and delicious fruit cake with origins being the same as the Christmas Pudding, Yule Pudding, Plum Pudding and Hakin combined with the origins of the Mince Pie.
