Hope your DD is feeling a bit better wingo and that you and the rest of your family are Ok. I hate these sickness bugs.
Good luck with catching up indie - I never do.
Well done on the book win Becks - hope it is good.
Really fed up with all this rain. We were going to be having a change for the food shopping and going to a different town to visit Aldi and Sainsburys but they have flooding. Some peeps had to be rescued from their home yesterday. Will just stick to our usual town - it doesn't have a river, just a loch which is nowhere near the supermarket.
Hope everyone else is OK and not flooded.

Sheils we haven't had much rain yet luckily. Hope everyone near you are ok.

Wingo sorry your DD is ill. There is a lot of it around lately

Need to ask at work today if i can take two days holiday as bestie wants to visit. Hope it will be fine. I have also give him some other dates I am off and have made him promise he will take his lovely wofe away to have sone quality time with her without the kids whilst I mind the kids for a vouple of days so hopefully he will take the offer.

what a wet windy miserable morning, gotta walk to hairdressers soon i,ll get home looking a right state and got a thing over at the school after lunch too mum gave me some ebay stuff so keeping an eye on that hope it makes her a few quid

We should be fine here thanks especially us as we are up on a hill and although we have views of the river it would need to flood 3 rows of houses and come up the hill.
That is a lovely thought to look after your besties kids while he takes his wife away Becks. I would have loved someone to do that for me when mone were young. Must admit I wouldn't like my DH to have a woman as his best friend, not that I don't trust him but I would be jealous!

Great pics FF - see you are getting in the Xmas spirit with the reindeer. Well done on the book win. You are doing well this month. Thanks for black bun - don't think I have tasted that before.

His wife is very understanding . I have pretty much known them both for 18 years and she knows that we have always been friends. She isn't the jealous type and bestie is the type of man who is very sensitive so if somethingever did happen (not that it has and never will) she would know instantly because it would upset him.

I have offered before for them Sheils but now the kids know me a bit better etc they are happier to do it. Without saying too much I think bestie thinks i saved his marriage late last year and he is trying really hard with his wife now. They both need and deserve a break on their own... Oldest is 10 and they have spent four nights on their own since he was born.I just want to give them their own time and thank them for being wonderful friends to me by being a winderful friend to them in a way i know willl make everyone happy

Sheils i have sent her a bouquet of flowers as a big thank you for a) having me to stay and b) also understanding and givin me and bestie time together. It really means a lot to me and all four of them i am proud to say are as good as family to me

DH & I never had much time on our own as I had 2 kids already and and as their father was dead and my parents worked that was that. Really enjoying spending quality time on our own now! Hope they take you up on your lovely offer Becks, you need time on your own when you have kids as they are very tiring.

I think it's important for them to have a break away together. Same as they have time apart it's equally as important to have the quality time together. I am so lucky to have them in my life and want to help any way i can. And as I have said to them they should take me up on my offer before I have my own family :rotfl: :rotfl: (i would still offer even when i have my own though)
