I have therefore just spent £82.27  Did stock up on He!nz soups at 50p a tin and some F!ash spray cleaner which is only £1 HP (it's the vintage one with the 50's housewife on the label). Also He!nz ketchup 460g top down is only £1 at the moment.
Tesco Tomato Sauce (not value) is 85p for 460g, you can get 570g for £1.00.
Tesco Daisy Kitchen Cleaner with bleach is 46p for a trigger spray. (It's as good as Flash I would say).
Kitchen roll in Wilkinsons is 50p for 2 rolls just now, its called quencher and comes in white or a pattern, almost as good as bounty or whatever its called now.
I hope you don't mind me posting this, but every little really does help and I'm desperate to keep in budget this month and have done the rounds on the high street today, If a can save a penny I did:D
Does anyone know where I can buy coffee filter papers from cheaply (tried Ebay) Tesco sell them for £1.19 for 40 and Asda £1.05 for 40.0 -
Did a small run to the shop on Friday and another today. Sig updated - am shocked at how well I'm doing so far this month! Am trying to run down parts of my pantry and as far as possible am just buying perishables and bits for lunches. Got 2 Soreen for €2.50 today, one cinnamon and raisin which is yummy and a banana which I haven't tried yet - any fans around? Or is it something to lump off on hubby?
Hope everyone is well...I only have time to pop in a couple of times a week these days.0 -
NSD today managed to stop DH from 'popping out' to buy something for tea ! i made a chicken and sweetcorn soup for lunch ( with enough left for us both to have for lunch tomorrow) and a chicken stew for tea tonight for 3 of us . all of sundays roast chicken has gone now.

Well I switched on the other little freezer. And went to stock up at Iceland. Spent £50 (well just under but I'll round it up). I will count it from this months budget I think. I was expecting to spend more, really.Bossymoo

Another £5.56 today. Going well against budget (43.84/100), but am using up loads of stuff I had in, which is good as it's not going to waste, but makes me wonder how come I'm still spending if I've got most of the stuff already, iyswim
Dog came home from vets this afternoon - still not 100%, but hopefully with TLC will continue to get better. Bill was just over £700 with more expense to come later in the week when she goes back for follow up checks on her bloodwork

Hello! Everyone seems to be doing very well just now
glad that your dog is on the mend hannah and really feel for you with that bill :eek:
Made veggie Pad Thai for dinner, wish I'd taken a picture as it was fab. Used a bag of value stir fry mix (it says to split between four, but veggie stir fry isn't terribly filling so I used the whole bag!) and I was really impressed - it was only 50p. Normally just chop up my own veg but don't think I could buy them as cheap and it was perfectly nice! Had carrot, cabbage, onion and beansprouts rather than peppers or courgettes but was tasty.
After work I also made bean burgers (well just mashed up the ingredients, haven't shaped or cooked yet) for tomorrow's dinner - used a tin of pinto beans, a couple of big value mushrooms, some garlic, tomato puree, breadcrumbs and spices. Also baked some amazing looking buns to have with themused my breadmaker to mix/rise the dough, which I don't usually do, but I was a bit busy to mix by hand:
Also pictured are two cookies - I baked the last four balls of dough from the freezer and we had two warm with ice cream for dessert. Feeling that between my productive day yesterday and today I've done pretty well cooking-wisePart time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Help. I've just been to Mr As and done a shop (can't remember last time I did a big shop), anyway, I spent just over £110  Admittedly the fridge and fridge/freezer are full and the cupboards are pretty full -I only do a big shop about once a month, if that. I get all cleaning stuff and loo rolls etc with the shopping and there are 5 of us in the house.
Oh and I don't really meal planso I have no idea how much I've got meal wise or what meals we're having in the next week-apart from something out of what I've bought (obviously).
