Lloyds Contactless

Options
Hi MSE folks.

Just to let you all know that Lloyds will issue a contactless Visa debit regardless of where you are in the country on request via telephone banking.

The chap I spoke to asked where i'd heard of it, and then put the order through.

Thought I'd mention it as I've seen some people on here struggling to get an answer out of them regarding paywave.

I'm not sure I'd trust Lloyds Banking Group with anything at the moment.

is it still the '2012 Logo' on the card? or they finally got a new design?

I'm sure the current card design will remain in place until after the 2012 Olympics. I would hazard a guess they will not change the card design now until they re-brand back to Lloyds Bank during 2013.

It's still the 2012 logo, as it's still 2012! As St Clair says, given the amount of money that Lloyds have spent on sponsorship there won't be any changes this year.

  • I've just opened a silver account and have received the green debit card but it doesn't have paywave. Think I'll ask for one today, what method did you all find was best telephone banking or asking in branch?

I think it might be based on internal scoring as they may only issue contactless cards to those with offline debit cards. This may be wrong but I know that certain other banks do it that way.
