Help

I have £21,75 to feed me and two teenagers with big appetites for a week. Any tips welcome and is anyone else surviving on this low a budget? Using old tins from the back of the cupboard at the minute but at some point soon I will run out.

2 places to look, which may seem obvious:

    Lidl half-price weekend offers

Aldi Super 6 (changes every 2 weeks)

Buying reduced "whoopsies" can help, some massive savings there.

If possible, reduce biscuits/crisps etc, especially crisps - nice of course, but little value.

All depends what you have available in your area and of course how much time you have.

Good luck though and welcome to MSE.

I guess it depends how much stuff you have in your cupboards and if this is just for dinners, or lunches and breakfasts too!!
If it's just dinners, then you are looking at lots of pasta and potato type meals to fill you up. Could you let us know more details?
Also, if you look on the Old-syle board, there are lots of similar challenges!!
Best of luck and keep asking, you'll get lots of help.

Then you definitely need this site, it was started by someone from here and has been very successful.

Also, you might want to look at all your outgoings to see if you can reduce them any further.
Are you sure you are claiming all you are entitled to- it doesn't seem enough to me to be able to manage on otherwise(long term):(
