    A definite no from me.

Although I do look forward to shorting the backside off it at some point :D
  • A 100% No from me, I have a feeling this could turn out to be an investment horror story.

Although I don't seem them plummeting any time soon, I don't really see them rocketing, either.

So it's a no from me.
  • Trouble is people are comparing facebook to google. When google first come to the market it was a relative unknown. Now facebook is well known, the only people who are going to profit from the IPO are the existing shareholders, who will see a rise. Along with the corporates and bankers who will get first dibs at the shares.

Then it will be opened up to us plebs who will end up buying overpriced as everyone else who got in early takes their profit.

I for one will not be buying facebook shares.

I like Facebook and in some ways I think it's worth the lofty valuations but I can't see it being worth much more in the future, but the downside is huge. It has no apeal to me as an investor.

IPOs are generally ones to stay away from. People don't float companies unless its on favourable terms for them, which usually means you're getting the short end of the stick.

At these lofty valuations it needs a LOT of growth to have a chance of making you money, I know far too little about it to know how it can grow its profits that much so not an investment for me.
Faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

I doubt that it's a decision I need to make. It will presumably be listed on NASDAQ, so getting a piece of the initial action from the UK is not going to be practical.
