Are you sure it was 20Nm? As thats only about 15lb/ft I'm sure that you would have noticed firing up a bolt to such an extent you would strip it instead of being just above finger tight.0

ive got mostly sealey and never had a problem.. my rachet is halfords pro or sealey cant see any markings on it its that well used now.. has taken me hitting itr with mash hammers and jumping up and down on it and not given up..
only even snapped one halfords socket thing with allen key on it.. lost the receipt but halfords repaced it no bother.. im only a diy mechanic so cant comment on the commericial usage of them..Sealed pot challenger # 10

Oh, I hadn't realised thatI have a set of those spanners (with flexible ends) and they are invaluable, but if I'd known I wasn't covered I might not have hit one with a lump hammer to release a stubborn bolt (the bolt released, the spanner is fine, and, using the same technique I'd just broken an ordinary spanner

Yes.. absolutely positive. Why on earth do people doubt almost everything I say? - I get this treatment from friends, family, employers.. Do I have a neon sign above my head saying idiot? - Seropisly, please tell me, I want to shake off whatever keeps causing this attitude towards me.DatabaseError wrote: »Oh, I hadn't realised thatI have a set of those spanners (with flexible ends) and they are invaluable, but if I'd known I wasn't covered I might not have hit one with a lump hammer to release a stubborn bolt (the bolt released, the spanner is fine, and, using the same technique I'd just broken an ordinary spanner
