I have been asked to repost this comp for the next week but am having issues finding it.

Maybe it will be live later on but if anyone can help it would be good :-)

TV show is on at 7:30pm tonight. Last weeks comp was posted 9:23pm - so I guess it should appear this evening.

There are quite a few unposted comps on Dennis.I no longer post from that domain so if someone wants to have a look :-)

After all ab.da54's sterling work on the Dennis sites in August & September I presumed that these would all be getting posted.
I'd send a pm but none are allowed.

I hve been compin a couple of years now & I would like 2 say ty 4 all the hard work u put in posting these sets of comps. I shall imagine that I will get jumped on 4 saying this hence the reason I am hiding behind a different user name. Evry1 who comps regularly will notice who usually posts what from what domain & it does frustrate me if someone is usually an hour or day late posting their usual comps someone else jumps in & is quick 2 steal & take credit. I cant understand why some people cant just send a polite pm askin 1st. The WWW is huge these days & there must b tons of sites out there givin away prizes away that us MSErs dont know about & it would be good if members who dont regularly post from a certain domain could try and hunt them out and share to benefit us all. I understand the rules of the board if it aint there search n post I thought it was a bit disrespectful thats all & I can completely understand why weeowens has stopped posting from that domain & now we have lost out on a regular poster of that site. I just wanted to give my opinion on the subject because I guess thats what a forums all about! Can't be bothered with arguments etc I shall crawl back into the woodwork n crack on wiv compin just wanted to say cheers 2 weeowens for all his efforts:beer:

    Cheers for the thanks.
In a way I do agree with the "Al Mac" dictum but also agree that etiquette & respect should really enter in to our conduct.
I have sent quite a few pms to alert regular posters of new comps & do not expect a note re' that but it is often posted.
Sites that we post from are often "in play",as it were but to post a whole series of comps & then not maintain observance on those sites seems poor,in my opinion.
To then not accept messages seems worse, given that is the best way to alert a poster of any comp changes.
Maybe ab.da54 will now return to posting all the Dennis comps, although Love offers seem to have been fully blocked now :(
The majority of the "thankers" on MSE comps could in all probability not really care who has posted a comp but without these posting members the board is less. There was ample opportunity for ab.da54 to remain vigilant on this series of comps but given my posts in discussion this was not be.

PS: to save any doubt the above poster is not known to me & the post was a surprise.IP logs can be checked & I do not have any knowledge of the above member.
  • Hi,

Does anyone enter competitions on a tablet (not ipad though - cant afford one), if so is there an app that can be downloaded that is like Roboform and can fill in forms? I am looking at the Archos 70 or 101 which are Android based if that helps.

I am looking to buy either a netbook or tablet, tablet looks more portable for me, but want to be able to enter comps and need a form filler.

    Thanks

Thought someone might be interested in this Advertising Standards Authority adjudication about how the winner of a competition was picked unfairly.

It relates to the HeyUGuys website - adjudication.

Apologies if this is in the wrong place, but thought it might be of interest to someone and didn't know where else to put it.

Wow, thanks for that, just shows that these companies have to watch their step when promoting competitions.
