I knew there was a reason for your avatar ;)

I am aware of this, I mentioned this on the thread prior to receiving the email.
    :rotfl:

I think what I am trying to say is that there are only 4 ways I can think of that they track a customer electronically.

    Clubcard
    Debit/Credit Card
    Email Address
    IP Address

The first three are very easy for any muppet to implement. The last has issues in relation to communal housing, works computer etc.

I am wondering if this email is a random thing? As I have only used 2 emails, gone over on both (not by much) and used a clubcard most times...but no email for me.
Please God, help me stop spending!

    Heres what i do:

Pay by cash, no clubcard, open new email, input details into price checker with new email details x 5

    Then start again

    hth
    Shop one - A vs T
    Shop two - A vs W
    And then repeat :j:j:j
    & now add - A vs S
What the heck A vs the world :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
  • Yay, finally found some lamb in an extra store, my DH is going to cook it for me for Mothers Day :)

I had my daughter with me and my heart sank when she started putting the shopping on an empty till with a more mature lady SA but although she had never seen a voucher before she knew exactly what to do and asked what I did to get the voucher, full marks to her apart from explaing how a clubcard worked when I told her I didn't have one, lol.

Another local Tesco didn't have a clue about the vouchers, not even the lady in charge! she kept asking me for my Asda receipt then she said she needed to go and check Asdas prices against my receipt, I tried explaining how it worked but she wasn't listening to me. She moved the man waiting behind me to another till then started walking off until I asked her to try scanning the voucher which she did, she kept my receipt though but I just wanted to get out of there so didn't say anything. I did make sure I had my new receipt though :)

entered my receipt details; put 01/04/11 in the end. there are space for 2 characters and i figured that if i submitted 1 /04/11, then the computer may say 'no'! i was thinking perhaps it may add add a '0' after the '1'? since that space is left blank? perhaps i'm over-thinking!

sorry i think i get what you mean, did you mean they sent you a random email?

i thought you meant you inputted it all into the pricechecker again
Yes a random e-mal! I wonder if it was the voucher that put me over the 100 and Tesco are somehow trying to balance their issues with this.

I don't understand why they have used the same barcode for all vouchers, seems completely illogical.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I've had the dreaded e mail on one of my e mails that I used to input reciept last night this was the first time I'd used this e mail address therefore was not over the £100 limit as they were suggesting. The other reciept I put on my usuall everyday e mail address and I've been sent that voucher even though I'm over the £100 limit.
Tesco's logic defeats me:rotfl::rotfl: you would think that a big company could get it right. What is annoying me is I've tried to re input on the price checker the rejected reciepts details and another new e mail the page just freezes on me is anybody else having the same problem?????? Tesco are the worst company ever I think anybody else agree?????????:rotfl::rotfl:
