snow is starting to melt and it slightly misty where we are

guess that I'm going to have to be a little controversial and I am going to say what I feel even though I know it will upset certain members of MSE

I'm getting really frustrated with how the boards are being run at this moment of time

post's are not being moved to GAME OVER like they used to be and they are now left on the boards for long periods of time I;e 3-5 days

one particular BG has always done the moving to GO and may not have the time to that daily, maybe explaining the problems it causes leaving them on the main board would help to see if the other BGs need to help out

I highlighted the fact that thousands of posts where being left on the boards about a week ago but nothing has changed

that would be me! and I truly thought I had backchecked all the dates you gave me, a quick pm telling me they were still there would have meant I'd go straight back and do it properly

I check this at least a few times every day and edit an average of 12 thread titles, this is about the same amount as when you used to pm me a list to do, so thought I was probably getting most of them, obviously I'm still missing a lot! but remember all BGs give up their time voluntarily and are not expected by MSE to log on on a daily basis

I've commented on this many times in the comp discussion board
some people asked for it to be used properly, some want it tidied up, some want it blown up! some just want everything to stay the same, some want change, we'll never please everyone and again at the moment I'm working with the boards and guidelines MSE have got in place now and invited discussion on changes, having some weekly/monthly threads on the main board is a change to the rules even if rules have been overlooked for some time

you may say it's Christmas and the BG's are busy but this was happening well before the Christmas rush got under way as well

I can only answer for myself in that I deal with every merge request I get, immediately if I'm online as I get an email notification of an MSE pm whatever I'm looking at, but at least within a few hours
if a merge request isn't dealt with it will be because the BG it was sent to hasn't been online to read it and that could be for any of a number of reasons, we are as I said giving up our own time voluntarily
just wanted to add that I have the luxury of being able to be online whenever I want and check my emails during the day, not every BG here has, or is expected to have, the time to do that

going on the above I'm either not pulling my weight or can't be bothered then?
you may not be happy about some of your fave comps being moved to the regs but in my eyes that does show that I am here BGing quite apart from everything else I do here! as I've said no one gave me a rule book for the comps board that included exceptions and when I saw some people had issues I've discussed/answerd everyone and agreed to take some time looking at it for you hopefully what comes of that will be a board that most compers are happy with but we'll never be able to please everyone

I understand that you can't do everything Glad but what I am saying is there are now four BG's on the boards but none of the BG's are maintaining the boards ship shape and Bristol fashion which must mean that some are failing in there duties

someone has just sent me a pm with a much better way of finding threads with wrong title formats it means I should be able to find and edit them at least once a day and keep on top of them

and as I've got time now I'll do the GOs too
