also claim to be a 100% cashback site but obviously a different 100% to Topacshback

Tesco direct 2% at this site

    http://www.imutual.co.uk/groceries/tesco

3.03 % at Topcashback (and quidco)

    http://www.topcashback.co.uk/tesco/

also 3% for marks at Imutual , 3.03% at Topcashback

To be fair though, Topcashback have a higher rate for M&S at the mo because they're currently paying 101% cashback.

I still won't be going near it (the new site).

Also rates the cashback site get from the retailer can be dependant on the number of transactions the cashback website sends to the retailer. For example, it could be 2% if you send 19 transactions a month but 3.5% if you send 55 transactions a month meaning the more popular sites can give higher rates.

    I

With regards to Richard Yendall having founded Rpoints, then yes, this is correct. But it may be worth reading around before you jump to and conclusions.

I found it worth reading what a MSE member of at least 5 years standing had to say about CBK and R-Points in 2009. ;):)

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=26107583&postcount=14 ( Who was head of R-Points Customer Services when you had your Grievance in 2009 ??????)

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/25845431#Comment_25845431 ( Who was head of Cashback Kings Customer Service ??????? )

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=25845431&postcount=2 09.10.09 : Your opinion was to get out of Cashback Kings)

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=25413241&postcount=433 You expressed a desire to close your CBK account yet you stayed on as both a CBK member and a CBK Forum moderator, was that an error of judgement being as CBK has now gone bust. ????????

This is an opinion I have seen from the owner of another Cashback Site Forum :

Its impossible for him to be innocent. If you're a director of a company that goes insolvent, yet continues to trade on debt, then all directors are guilty of negligence, whether they were aware of the finances or not. As a director, it's your job to be aware, if you're not, you're negligent. Simples. There's some quite harse penalties too, harsher than you'd imagine.

If he knew enough to warn 1 member, he knew enough to make it negligent to continue trading. He might pull it around, but we all know that cashbackers are an unforgiving breed with very long memories!!”

I disagree. They have no cash value currently but as a shareholder you get benefits like receiving a copy of the accounts every year and the ability to vote at the AGM. Even if you only hold the free shares, you still get these benefits.

So this is the freebie that you found - no spend required.

I am positively underwhelmed by the prospect of enjoying these benefits. And what about those people who have already joined and received a mere 10 shares - will they now get an extra 90?
What's more, as a shareholder, you can always vote Richard out of being a director at the AGM if you aren't happy with how he is running the company!

Well yes quite. But I think he's been there before.

Yes the original 10 free shares that were worth nothing have been increased to 100 free shares for everyone also worth currently nothing.

Re - Last point, my understanding is that the Shareholders from the Company which owns/owned R-Points voted overwhelmely several months ago for CBK and R-Points to be run by two former R-Points/CBK employees, however Mr Yendall from what I have read on R-Points Forum decided too stay on in control of the sites.

I see Richard has now launched a YouTube channel for imutual. The first video explains about the share offer and may help those who have questions: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSO11OaUwPA

Those who say the shares have no value - well of course shares in a new company won't be worth much (in terms of money). But if you'd been offered shares in Quidco (for example) five years ago, they wouldn't have been worth much. Quidco now has over a million members and is worth several (possibly hundreds) millions of pounds.

Take Groupon as another example. Two years ago it was worth nothing. Earlier this year Google offered $6 billion for the company - which was rejected!

I think you need to look further into the future. After all, the offer is not costing you anything.
  • a friend of mine joined up to imutual. he's emailed me to say that all of the daily clicks he's been doing have been rejected. he says the follwing were all pending and are now rejected. he's emailed about it and they don't bother to reply.
    - search chief
    - emmaki
    - comparison street
    - price log
    - cascade compare
    - we all shop

he's so fuming mad:mad:. he reckons there may be some truth about the guy behind this being untustworthy. to be fair i did warn him.
