I just waited for a reminder to see how long it took.....5 weeks, I think you'll be safe till after xmas :D

Thats what I was hoping people would say - woo-hoo! I've always been brought up to pay bills as soon as you get them and not be in debt but i reckon there is something in the old business adage about never paying them until absolutely necessary!
  • Ugg boots on sale at Scotts in Bull Ring today. Unsure of price though.
  • Has anyone used http://www.uggfootwear-direct.com before?

As they seem to have them in for £99.00 delivered. So if anyone has used them and give them the ok then I'm ready to place my order :)

My missus is after a pair of short boots, in Chestnut, size 5. In Manchester, shops only seem to have size 8's in :o Any help or advice appreciated

Lol, I paid that one as soon as the reminder came, I now have to clear the other 2 but at least I'll know I can do it in a couple of weeks. I was hoping they would forget....wishful thinking ay! ;)
  • Hi All,

Having read through the various posts on this forum re Uggs I took the chance and ordered some Chestnut Classic Tall and Black Upside Tall from the supplier Wang919. Naturally I was a bit apprehensive but the seller was very good throughout and patient with my numerous changes of mind re colour / style etc. And... they were many! I had checked through all his/her feedback and there was a predominance of positive so I thought what the hell... Ill go for it lol.

I was given a tracking number with US Postal services and so this made consistent tracking possible. The boots took about just over a week to arrive - an acceptable time period considering their country of origin and I had additionally purchased the cleaner and repellant.

And now for the exciting bit - they arrived in immaculate condition (as did the boxes, if you are like me particular about the whole package) and they are definitely the genuine beautiful ugg Austalia boots that everyone loves and covets! I inspected them (as you can imagine) with a feverish apprehension and in minute detail. I compared them with that of friends bought in for eg Office or Schuh and they are exactly the same in every aspect. Ohhhhhh what a happy bunny am I lol. Naturally there will be those skeptics on here who think better who doubt the authenticity but hey who cares - I am HAPPY - and believe me that is quite a feat lol. :T

I will post again after I have had my hoofs in them for some time in order to comment on wear etc!

So they have been relegated (somewhat reluctantly) to under the tree awaiting a 'reopening special' on Christmas day - whereupon I will make haste and get my hoofs into them and OOOHhhhh CANNOT wait lol! :j

So in essence I thought I would say a simple thank you to all on here who posted invaluable/ funny / witty posts that helped with my decison! Thank you!

Hopefully someone will benefit from this as I did!

    Thanks

I'm so glad you like them. I also got mine from Wang and was a bit worried as no one on here had got them from him - I just went off his good feeback. I agree they are totally authentic - I just love mine.

Mine were also for Christmas but talked hubbie into letting me have them. I've worn them a couple of times but I love them. I'm going to spray them before I wear them again though. Against my better judgement I wore them last night to a concert where it was also standing. My hubbie went made when he noticed I'd worn them. I was so worried all night as drunken people seemed to like throwing lager about - well thats what I hope it was!!!! Luckily they came out unscathed. Going to see Take That on Friday but i'm sure I'll be safe to wear them there. Anyway hope you have lovely cosy feet and a great Christmas!!!!

I recently bought some Emu boots off Ebay, £36.99 + £9.99 shipping, thinking they were shipped from the UK. Just after I bought them, I read the small print further and realised they actually came from the US. I phoned the company Streetmoda who immediately agreed to give me a partial refund on the customs charges if I got charged. Sure enough, there was a whopping charge of £14.87 (£8 of which was Royal Mail's "handling" fees), so I phoned Streetmoda again and they actually refunded me the £9.99 original shipping cost. I would highly recommend this company - the customer services are excellent and they couldn't apologise enough for the inconvenience - UK retailers please note! They are trying to sort out a better system of shipping to reduce their UK customer's charges.

BTW, the boots are beautiful - definitely as good as UGGs.
I would love to be lazy but can't find the time:exclamati
  • i bought myself the primark 'ugg' boots, £6 a throw and so comfy! and at that price you can afford lots! i got black ones and grey ones! obviously they're not the real deal but super cheap, cosy and a great look :) xxx
  • Just had this from Hartingtons. First I order from Wang and get an 'I'm sorry I can't fulfill your order', now I get this, I am grateful for their honesty tho':

We regret to advise that we are unable fulfill your order for Chocolate UGG Australia boots.

Unfortunatly Deckers contracted the manufacture of the December deliveries for their Australian and New Zealand distributors from an alternative source to their usual Chinese suppliers.

Having now seen this stock we do not believe the quality of finish to be of an equivalent standard to the boots we have been selling or to those currently available in the UK and Europe. To avoid future complications we have declined this delivery and will now wait for the Chinese replacements next year.

Please note that your card has not been charged.
  • Sorry for replying to my own post but I wonder if this means the whole 'next generation' of 'real' Ugg boots arriving will be of bad quality?
