Hi, I am a newbie here. Does anyone know a good bodywork garage (not too expensive) around Milton Keynes? My car has 12 small rusty on the font part of the roof (may due to stone chips) . I think I need to get it repaired properly in a bodywork garage.

    Thanks,

    Adsi :o

Chips away did a good job for me on my Freelander, however for the number of chips you have, it might not be cost effective. However you never know until you ask.

When I was rear ended last year, very minor damage, mainly a bumper respray. I was recommeded by my physio to use D F Crash Repair in Tongwell, http://www.dfcrash.co.uk couldnt fault the service from them

Hi Suggs, Thanks for your recommendation. Did you finally use D F Crash Repair for your minor damage? If so, how is the paint now? Just want to know how good their job is. :o

My sister's insurance company allowed her to use Perfect Paint... and unless they were bumping up the cost because it was an insurance claim I don't know... but boy, they were expensive.

I wasn't very impressed with their finish if I'm honest: they didn't clean nor buff the rest of the car around the area that they replaced, and to this day the replacement looks a lot newer than the rest of the car. The repair was noticeable to me.

They are recommended by Days Fiat in Blakelands though and a lot of local garages use them; they boasted the local Merc garage and Wayside use them too apparently....
(I just hope they do a better job than I saw!)

Hi indiegirl, Could you tell me how is paint on your sister's car now? Any rusty generated from the repaired parts? I don't want the situation that after one years the rust comes up again if the garage don't do the job properly.

    Thanks a lot. :o

:money: I was there this morning buying a few bits & bobs

They have quite a bit of packing stuff
    - bubble wrab, brown paper, poster tubes, Royal Mail packing boxes, packing tape sets with dispensers

    and stationery
    - loads of files and ringbinders, A4 pads and smaller ones (some recycled paper), storage files & boxes, pritt,

you can get an idea on-line
    http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/editorial/office-supplies-homepage/?int=left_nav

just click through each category to find the 75% off stuff, however they do have some items in store that appear out of stock on the website.

It's worth a look if you have a spare half hour. Location :-

No rust nor anything developing, but it was only about 4-6 months ago. They don't appear to have matched the colour very well (it's black)...

I'd still want to see a few more examples of their work before I used them if I'm honest.
