Freebie spotting is great, but please it must be legal. Pretending to be customers of a company, or registered nurses, or anything which you are not is a deception and not countenanced by this site and could lead to prosecutions

Frankly companies have a good point. If it's medical samples only for doctors or special lightbulbs for electricians then pretending to be that is wrong and not MoneySaving (this note comes after having just fended off such a note from a company).

Please only post genuine open to all consumer freebies and samples. If you spot someone not doing this - please do report it immediately to [Removed by Forum Team]

  • Thank you Martin. I guess we just all have to consider our legs well and truly slapped.

  • It would also be very useful if a bit more was put in a post saying exactly what the freebie was and what was involved in getting the freebie. For instance do you have to register or is just a name and address required.

All too often there is just a link to a website.

well said Martain, i agree! Sometimes people take it far too far, like getting samples of items they have no use for and have no wish to buy the actual product.

It costs companys money to send people samples and ordering silly items that u cud never use or need is wasting the company, often small companys ive noticed, money. That not moneysaving or moral.

Good point but I never go for samples where you need to be a company or someone etc, just stick to the free public samples. ;)

I do have my own business so have no guilt about going for business only freebies - but can I ask it it would be okay to post business only freebies as long as it was highlighted that it was such? I know there are a few people in business on this website.

My concience would be nagging me all the time if I did that.
Anyway why would anyone want stuff that was meant for a company if they werent one?
Some of the company freebies are very strange items !
