I have just seen this thread and it is fab!
I have been reading from the beginning, but decided to post before I finish (apologies if I have missed anything important!) to say that I have already copied down half a dozen recipies!
I will be happy to test anything too, although by the looks of things I will be trying most of the recipies anyway! :rotfl:
I don't eat eggs or much dairy, but have been impressed by the number of things that do without those or are easily adaptable. I might try the apple curd spread, but with pears instead, as it sounds very tasty for breakfast!

Pizza test #1- It tastes better than it looks (I know the cheese looks sparse!) But it's really nice
And bob, shirley and the kids each get a 9-10 inch pizza plus a side veg

I have a flatbread recipe which is a little different, with a more wholemeal flavour and chewy texture than normal, great for chillies etc
Corn and Rye Tortillas
135g maizemeal
135g rye flour
1/2 tsp salt
75ml corn/veg oil
225ml water (approx)
Mix flours and salt, and stir in oil. Gradually add water until it forms a soft and slightly sticky dough. Knead well and leave in a covered bowl for 30 mins. Roll out walnut sized pieces on a rye-floured surface, into circles about 13cm (5") across. Cook in an ungreased frying pan or griddle, until bubbles appear and then turn to cook other side.
They are super quick and easy!0 -

Reet..ee..o....
With you on that. I'm relying on you/we're all relying on you ISOM to look out for our Weezl ITRW:D0 -
ps on the pizza front, the family can double the cheese on each and not have a side veg as another option. There's already 4.5 of their 5 a day in the pizza, so they could have it on a day with the veg soup at lunch and still easily get their 6-7

According to the FSA there is no "official" rda for omega 3/6. But the US seems to think that 3g per day is a good standard to follow.

Thanks for adding that link: IIRC that is the minimum recommended in the 1994 COMA report. The Food Standards Agency translates the evidence as one to four portions of oily fish per person per week.
Weezl74 would it help if I tried to frugalise/ cost up a couple of oily fish recipes using your Asda shopping list or am I jumping the gun?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

Loving this thread - I can't commit to testing everything but I'll def try a few that fit n with my families likes and time contraints and chip in if thats ok?People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.
