afternoon all, quick one from me untill later 2 of 3 back, pre school not open till tomorrow but ds going to a friends for the day as im at family courts
hiya was it you whose kitchen scales weren't working? one idea I had was to look for american recipes so the measurements are all in cups, that way it's about proportions and not exact weights. as long as you use the same cup for the whole recipe, should be fine

my kids all slept in my bed from birht to 12 months because i feel they need closeness but i got no end of cra* from friends and family (not my mummy tho lol) about how bad it was MIL kept on about being in a cot in own room from 6mths and in a cot from birth - BLAH carp! Each to their own! - and i am happier as i got better sleep lol
Had a left over tin of ww soup and frozen reduced ww bread (bought about 8 loaves when reduced! as have hudge freezer) for lunch - am trying to lose a few lbs (well 5 stone ha ha) - only have 1 tin of soup left now tho so need to make my own healthy low cal soup..........gonna get slow cooker out! Any calorie counters/ww ppl help with a NICE recipe- kids had frozen bread (Mum gave me as close to date) with cheapy sarnie filer i bought from makro (huge pot reduced to £2.20)
Hens fed and watered early and i had 3 eggs again this morning from yesterday! Moved my aubergine and tomato seedlings to the front room windowsill for warmth and sunlight.DFW since JAN 2009 - 2014 will be the year i finally clear debtsJust to see which month

i worrying im rambleing on without contributing anything worth reading to the thread
Hey debtmess all ramblings are goodespecially if they keep you on track, so keep posting!
Interesting that people water milk down, hadn't thought of that. Do you think it's cheaper to buy full fat and then water down and freeze?
Or maybe I should try the Nyk's suggestion:
Since Ald! opened in our nearest town, I've been buying UHT milk at £5.88 for 12 litres but I also had taken advantage of the appr0ved F00d offer on milk powder, which I use for breadmaking, sauces and milk puddings. If it's good enough for the MOD, it's certainly good enough for me.
I think there might be an ald! near me, is that boxes of separate litres, or all in one? I live by myself so it would take me a while to get through that much... but happy for savings .

Natalie i had to share a bunk bed with my brother for a good few years, never did us any harm, my sister had the top one, and my youngest brother was in a cot
i had my own bed from about 7 but never had my own bedroom
ive got a 3 bed house and have my 3 in the biggest room all together and the thought of getting rid of a bed and putting the 2 little ones intogether (3 and 4y) is something ive thought of many timesDebt free

!
I actually buy full fat then freeze it and mix with water once defrosted - takes up less room in freezer- and we don't see much difference - even make angel delgiht with watered down milk. I find it cheaper as 3litres milk 1.55 (makro) whether ff or semi BUT with ff watered down i then get 6litres.

Me and my 2 sisters shared a room till we were teens but we had own beds - stupid as we had bed, tiny walkway, bed, tiny walkway, bed - wall. Without moo's bed there is loads more room for them to play and less toys down here lol! Am going to set up a 'home corner' for my DD so she still has her own space.
Thanks for the reassurance guys! my 5.5yr old has own bed and hoping by time DD is 7 we will get a housing association house (private rent currently 2bed) with 3 bedrooms! I cannot remember the rules about ages sharing a room but i know that our points go up yrly and we should have enough in about 3 years (dd is 3 and 4 in july)DFW since JAN 2009 - 2014 will be the year i finally clear debtsJust to see which month
