Think we are going to get Keira this towards her Xmas, at least the ps3 would get a use from someone else, and it seems quite cute and fun - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZP5XluFJ8Yk&feature=related

She just asked me for some WHEETA POOPS - She actually means a packet of hula hoops - DENIED!

That the one about the degus? It's a rodent......Doing us all a favour keeping them in a cage!

My stepdad always had a budgie when we were growing up, well we had 2, my mum used non stick frying pans, smoked around them, used air freshner all teh stuff thats TORTUROUS. They were fine! Lived too about 5?, my mum was willing for them to die much sooner as she was the one who had to clean them out and was petrified lol

degus, parrots, and is now an expert on smear tests too apparantly... :rotfl:

i guess with birds its like humans, some people smoke from the age of 15 and live to be 100 with no signs of damage from it, and others, well, dont.

Yep probably, I mean in hindsight it probably was cruel, but it's not like my parents actually ever learnt much about budgies. You keep them in a cage, give them toys, seeds and water, get another one for company, bit of cuttlefish for their beak and let them out for a fly. It's pretty simple. Everything nowadays is so much more harder, YOU MUSNT DO THIS, you MUST MUST MUST STUDY THE ANIMAL FOR 3YEARS BEFORE BUYING ONE, and YOU MUST GET A HALF DEAD ONE FROM A RESCUE!!!

Meh...heh. I wouldn't keep a budgie myself, I do think it's cruel to keep a bird in a cage, finches are cute though :D

Expert on smears eh, so am I, can I have a peek at your cervical lining plz.....

Ooo - go to visit MIL and take advantage of Tomos having grandparent time ;):D

Altogether now! Sleeping Bags! Sleeping Bags! Sleeping Bags! :j:j:j
    Hiya everyone,

I missed this post yesterday, sorry.

Went to visit MIL not so long ago and it was a nightmare. So used to being in a 1 bedroom flat having to sort bottles out for night feeds was a pain. They've got 3 dogs, a cat, 2 gineau pigs and a hamster altogether. Trying to get to the kitchen un noticed was impossible. Should be a bit better now mind. Tom is sleeping a lot better.

I've got a sleeping bag which I just haven't tried yet so going to give it a go tonight. I'll pop him in a babygro 1st to keep his arms warm. Hopefully he won't be too warm.

    x

p.s I'm going to start pestering Tom for kisses too so hopefully I can get some soon.

    Yay and Yay!!

Glad to hear you are eating...and feeding that scrummy little boy of yours :D

Oh dear Bruno, sounds like Elijah will be getting a bump or two in the near future :( - if I shout Benjamin he turns around, grins and carries on pawing whatever he shouldn't be touching  I have a big round glass vase on the hearth and he loves to touch it...I think he may think it is a ball, he loves balls! Hubby says I should move it but I think it stops him bothering with the fire :o
    Must buy fire guard!!

Does anybody else have a baby who loves playing with baby wipes?

Elliot likes to eat our baby wipes  :rotfl:

Oh how old is Bruno by the way?

IF YOU DONT HAVE EVERY MANUAL IN THE WORLD THAT TELLS YOU HOW TO LOOK AFTER THIS ANIMAL YOU MUST NOT GET IT!!!

IF YOU CANT AFFORD VETS FEES YOU HAVE TO GET RID OF THE PET AND ADD TO THE HOMELESSNESS PROBLEMS, YOU MUST NOT USE A ANIMAL CHARITY TO PAY FOR THEM!!!!!!!

my grandad worked for the PDSA for 44 years for a poxy wage, they used to get old dears leaving them literally thousands in their wills for helping their animals
