Sending Text Messages problem
Options
I have a funny problem which I haven't been able to resolve with my mobile phone. It is a Nokia. I am on a Pay as You go tariff as I don't use it much. I can make & receive calls and receive texts but a couple of weeks ago I think I did something which blocks texts being sent from the phone. I have taken the phone apart, taken out and replaced the sim card and reset the time, date etc,. I have been through everything on the phone and for the life of me haven't a clue what I've done.
Can anyone help please as its now becoming irritating. If not does anyone know who I should contact.
Could the phone have gone wrong?
I'm not the most techi minded with mobiles but I can manage the basics.
Cheers

You need to check that the Message Centre Number is set correctly in your phone for your provider. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

So far you have not told us which Nokia or which operator!
Try Menu, Messages, Message settings, Text Messages, Sending Profile Message Centre Number

I have done it. Whilst waiting for an answer I looked on the Nokia website and found a load of similar posts. No help there so looked at Vodaphone who is my provider. Searched around abit and found the answer . The Message centre number was the problem, I must have changed it somehow. Anyway I have sorted it.
Thanks for all your help though. I'm going to put an answer on the Nokia site because there's loads of people asking the same question0 -
If anyone else gets this the operator can just send you a configuration message which should automatically update your phoneWycombe Till I Die0
