Fine by me but if you have already looked on samknows that's sorted. I have no idea why they are promoting this service to you if you are not LLU-unless they're switching it in early 2010 and they're trying to get in early. If TT have an enablement date sscheduled that might be why.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Hi Shykins,
If you could regsiter and post at www.talktalkmembers.com/forums we can take a look at alternatives etc for you.

I had this letter too - not sure if it's just badly written, but they imply that they will be changing my line rental (from BT) without first asking permission, in addition to changing my package to one that would cost me more money! Phoned to clarify the situation, as I have been a BB/calls customer for about 4 years now and am out of contract, but the "helpful" customer service said I would be in a new contract and had no choice but to go along with it.
Have now changed to different calls and BB companies, getting better deals in the process and much faster BB connection. Am tempted to report them to OfCom for the letter too, though not sure whether that would be worth any more of my time. Won't be sad to see the back of TalkTalk to be honest, as they've done little to earn my custom over the past few years.
Anyhow, rant over...0 -
woolly who did u change to?? am still waiting to hear from talktalk re other tarriffs but not heard as yet, i suspect cos they have nothing to offer
i am considering changing the whole lot back to BT who are due to ring me this afternoon but am curious as to who u changed to and the deal u got
oh and talktalk rep i did register there last week
thanksWhen you know better you do better0 -
O2 (BB) and post office (all the rest). I've been wanting to move services away for a while, as have been massively unimpressed with TalkTalk's approach to all aspects fo their business, though this was the straw that broke the camel's back. The irony is that when I phoned customer services, they were fully aware of these letters and the fact that they're losing customers as a result!0

thanks will take a look at PO
shortly after i posted to u i rang them up and customer services told me i could stay as i am.... i followed that up with a post on the talktalk forums asking for confirmaton of this and sure enough i was told NO, one hand does not seem to knw what the other is doing... i was told to ring retentions again
apparently if i take broadband elsewhere i CAN just pay for calls but not if i keep broadband how stupid is that? lose a customer instead of leaving be....til now i have been happy with talktalk but this is jus ridiculous

I signed-up to TT 3 or 4 years ago, only for the phone service, and guess what?, yess, they took-over my line from BT without asking for my permission. Will be contacting BT about being 'slammed'. I must say though, the service has been good, and I've saved about £70 a q over BT's prices (my spouse & son think the phone is some kind of toy).Never Knowingly Understood.

Hi Patman99,
Sorry to hear you believe your line rental service has been taken without your permission.
Did you receive any comunication from TalkTalk or BT about your line rental service moving to TalkTalk? Was this ever discussed with TalkTalk sales or customer services?
Cheers
