Well its my bonus money and it was put to one side for flumps essentials we would need to buy before he arrived we have around £500 left and have everything except the cot i would love to see him 4d the only thing stopping me like you say is there are so many other things i could put the money too but on the otherhand this is the only opportunity i will have to do this. Why is nothing in life easy to decide ??

Just listed a few PS3 games on eBay for the baby fund at long last, just deciding whether I can be bothered to put the rest on yet :undecided.

We are going to pop down to Asda tomorrow to see if anything is being marked down, as it's the last day of the baby event. Also going to Babies R Us to get the last few baby bits on my list (and a few extras I'm sure!)

Hubby is busy in the kitchen making sauteed potatoes for tea to go with the Forresters Chicken i am going to cook in a mo.

    (((HUGS))) to MrsMoc

Labour vibes to all in need

  • I'm still a bit tired and sore so if you don't mind I'll give you all the shortened, less gory version of my birth story until later when I might write it up properly so I have a permanent reminder of why I'm not doing it again!!

Started at 3cm dilated when I had a sweep on the wednesday, started with regular contractions at 1am on the thursday. Called midwife who arrived about 3am, ouch, ouch, ouch, gas & air, more gas and air, 4cm dilated, lots of hours, still 4cm dilated! Waters broken for me (cue DH leaving the room after it was done as not feeling well! Not surprising considering what they use to break them), eventually got to 7cm dilated, babies hearbeat dropping too low and still not dilating any further at 12.30pm, midwife was starting to get concerned the babies head/shoulders were getting stuck and therefore not coming down birth canal.

Cue ambulance being called arriving at my house with sirens and lights, transferred to hospital with sirens etc. 7cm - 10cm dilated in about 8 minutes in the ambulance, 4 or so mins later crowned head, few pushes and Reece born in the back of the ambulance outside the maternity hospital. The midwife had to hold his head through a few contractions to stop him being born whilst we were moving! DH had to follow in the car to the hospital but managed to arrive seconds behind us so as he approached the ambulance and was about to ask the paramedics if I was up in the maternity unit he heard me shout and then Reece cry so although he missed the actual birth he heard it! Heres a link (hopefully!) to some pics I've just uploaded on fb
