Sandra - lovely to see you back - glad you're feeling up to a mini bootsing trip!! and well done on a fab trip today!! & BV doing ever so well as well!!

Had a bootsing trip today & although it turned out well in the end I guess - it was quite stressfull!! I actually decided to buy some bits but use up some of my points to buy them with - firstly I asked the SA whether I would get Pooey's if I bought items with points - if yes I was gonna split into separate shops of £5ish each - if no I would put it all thru in one transaction!! Was told no after other SA went to check - in the meantime the lovely young SA reached behind the counter & said here you go' I didn't give this to you' and promptly gave me a Pooey - he said a customer b4 me didn't want it but Sssh!! :D then other SA came back & said no to getting Pooey if paid in points - ok fine lets do one transaction paying with points please... oooooh so wish I hadn't tried that one!!! Basically the till kept beeping & saying that certain items couldn't be bought using points!! Lovely young SA tried his best to make it work (& going a bit pink when it wasn't - me & him  Big queue building up behind me!! Anyways here are my shops & partially gave up trying to buy things with points cos of the hassle and it got confusing

    Shop 1:
    Pink Brag Book - £2.93
    Lilac Brag Book - £2.93
    FCUK BodySpray x2 - £1.26 (0.63p each on clearance)
    Crisps - 0.46p
Cadburys Creme Egg - 0.45p (sssh don't tell my OH)
    Total to redeem 803 points
also tried to put these thru on same transaction but till beeped & wouldn't let me pay for them in points for some BIZARRE reason - even the SA's couldn't understand why not!!
Expert Mens Sensitive Shave Oil x2 - £1.96 (0.98p each on clearance)
Loreal Paris colour appeal eyeshadow - £3.88 (£1.88 with Pooey) almost have the full collection of these now believe it or not!! :rotfl:
so cos I was getting quite :o at this stage I said don't worry I'll pay cash for them!! so shop 2 was 1x shave oil & loreal eye shadow & total to pay £2.86 paid cash

    Shop 3
Expert Mens Sensitive Shave Oil x1 - £0.98p on clearance
    Revlon Lipgloss - £6.35 (£4.35 with pooey)
total to pay £5.33 & gained another pooey

Shop 4 - decided to use No7 peel & line lift vouchers
    No7 GlycoPeel - £17.80 (£8.81 with ACM voucher)
No7 Line Lift - £12.80 (free with ACM voucher)
    No7 Silky Leg Oil - £10.28 (free on 3-4-2)
    so total to pay £8.81
Very pleased - would NEVER pay £10.28 for the leg oil but lovely to try as a freebie!!! & my legs are so in need of it - dry wintry legs!!!!
That was it but then wanted to get some T&G bits with vouchers but chickened out & decided to grab them & go to photo desk to pay! :D So got the following:

T&G Colour Brunette Blow Dry Styler - £5.86
    T&G Colour Brunette Shampoo - £4.88
    T&G Colour Brunette Conditioner £4.88
    Used 150 points Mag voucher
Used 3-4-2 ACM voucher so deducted £4.88
Total to pay £10.74 gained 190 points so in Boots logic cost me £8.84
    & gained another pooey

Phew!! should it be that hard to pay with points though?!!!

Hi all, not been too well lately, and been Confined To Barracks, so I was very pleased today to be taken out "for a short drive" - so naturally I asked if we could go to Boots!

I didn't want to have the Peel, even though I had the voucher, but did want some more P & P Beauty Serum.

    I scanned:

    P & P Serum (£18.50)
    Line Lift (£12.50)
Powder (£10) Total cost of goods: £41

    Then I scanned:

    Line Lift coupon
    Powder coupon

and I used my over 60s 10% discount and paid £6.65 for all 3, which I thought was very good value! :j:j

My friend, the BV, has been doing the Peel/Lift/Powder glitch in London, with London prices, and has been receiving £2.38 change!!

    xx

H everyone! i was wondering if someone would mind explaining, very simply, what the peel/lift/powder glitch is? And also how to get the p&p serum instead? I am only just getting used to bootsing, and whilst im good at hunting down bargain sel's, im not too confident with vouchers, and combining more than one in a transaction! I did print out the line lift and powder vochers at the weekend, but didn't use them as i couldn't figure out the best deal.... grrr! Any help would be appreciated as o hoping to get some godies on Sat xx:j

Hi, if you have a look at sandra message that you quoted, she explains how to use the vouchers that you already have. HTH
    I scanned:

    P & P Serum (£18.50)
    Line Lift (£12.50)
Powder (£10) Total cost of goods: £41

Hi SS nice 2 have u back... :j And fab shop too!! This only shows that the Highlight voucher glitch works on everything as long as the Highlights powder is the cheapest item on the 342 offer; the £10 is then taken off from the other product as the Line lift is already free... one has 2 make sure tho that 1 of the items is skincare (£15 or more) 4 the Line Lift voucher 2 work... 'et voila' there we have a 'good' shop, lol!!! :D

Yes, you're absolutely right and there aren't loads of No 7 items classed as skincare that are over £15, but those that are will get the equivalent of a £10 reduction.

Also, if you are over 60 and using your card, the item must cost more than £16.50, to cover the 10% deduction, but it's a great way to get something like P & P Beauty Serum at a third of its price!

Thank you all for such a lovely welcome back - have been told that I maybe taken out again on Saturday for a "short drive" and it would be a pity to waste my other Line Lift and Powder coupons - wouldn't it! ;)

Congratulations to whoever thought up the word for the new voucher, The Pooey :rotfl:which I think becomes the old voucher next Wednesday? Does anyone know what the new one is likely to be please?

    xx
  • Had a good little shop today. I asked an sa where the 3 packs of Nivea lip glosses were, and she took me to where all the lipsyl etc was. I hope that helps some one. howere they were sold out. She told me they were reduced that's probably why they were all gone. I thanked her as if I didn't know. lol. I did get the nc bags for £1.23 and the 17 wipes for 99p plus free nail plish twice, and a Loreal trio with pooey. I had a £5 voucher so only sot £1.05 in real money. So quite satisfying for all that.

Hi mimi sweets, my curries are authentic too, bet i could give you a run for your money lovely;):D. Scrap that , dont want the money, an afternoon bootsing with you in Leeds sounds much more fun:A.

I bet you all my Boots goodies mine will be better than yours. I've been cooking for about 13 years now. In fact, my neice comes round for cooking lessons from me too. Last Xmas I did some spicy chicken for our work do, and it was gone as soon as I put it on the table. No one believed me when I said I made it myself. Going round to a mates to show him how to do dahl (lentil) with a tarka amongst other things. How about we have a little tournament? I bet you I win! LOL.

Shame you ain't in Leeds, I am sure we would have a hoot! Hope you are OK though.

Anyone heard from MELGIRL? Not seen her on here in ages! Hope everyone else is in good health too. Hugs and Kisses.

PS. Has anyone else seen the GUCCI mens EDT offer? I am sure I saw a sel that said 1000 extra points when you buy. Did I see it correctly? If so, I may buy some, use double points and extra acm/mailing vouchers.

Hi Peachey. These glitches can be very confusing, can't they - I remember I shook the first time I did one of mine!

If you want something other than the Peel, it has to cost more than £15, and must be scanned first for the Line Lift to be free.

When you scan the Powder, then for some reason, it is deducted both as the cheapest, in the 3 for 2 offer, and, then it is deducted from your sub-total.

But why these things happen at some tills, and not others, is a big mystery to us all! I hope this explanation helps you, and that you're successful.

    Good Luck!

    xx
