bedshaped wrote:Bought 11 packs of Bodyform - 99p each
Total cost £10.89
Paid with £1 bodyform vouchers x 10 and the balance of 89p in cash.
Got another 11 x £1 Bodyform vouchers, 43 points and £5 / skincare choccies voucher which I have saved for when I find the Avene bags :A
It seems that manufacturers coupons are treated as cash when you redeem them in Boots, so when the total spend coupons for £10 are back they should also work
Buy 10 packs of Bodyform - 99p each
plus Lindor chocs at £3.49
Sub-total = £13.39
less chocs voucher - £2.50
Sub-total = £10.89
less Bodyform vouchers x 10 = -£10.00
Total cost = £0.89
So still paying just 89p, but you're getting the chocs included in the transaction too - and you were going to buy those chocs anyway weren't you?And you've still gone over the £10, so you'll get another skincare/chocs voucher.
Wouldn't have the nerve to go and buy loads of Bodyform myself, but this is a great way to get extra vouchers. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I bought 10 packs today with the vouchers on and got some very strange looks - the girl on the till kept looking for the catch I think!! Too busy staring at the bodyform she didn't notice the cheap Hard Candy stuff!!0 -
There's always little wicker baskets in poundland, sometimes more than one for a pound. could make gift baskets, just tie some ribbon round in a bow...?
Dunelm mill have a great set of baskets if you want some bigger ones for your home. they have a large 1 and half foot x 1 foot one, with a a 1x1 and a 2 smaller (gift size ones) for £5. really nice and sturdy and cotton lined0 -

shallowpockets wrote:Hi I went to Boots today and was told that the Avene bag could only be purchased if you brought an Avene item, I said no my sister had already brought some items (botanics) and the till had accepted the transaction, anyway she tried it and it went through the till but the SA wandered off and must have got chatting to someone and came back and just got awkward and asked me to show her the sign, I thought forget this I really don't want to stand here arguing with her as to be fair I really didn't need the bag and just walked away. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. aS I AM A NEWBIE, AND GET A GREAT BUZZ OUT OF THE FREEBIE / CHEAP ITEMS i am getting , just wondering what happens after the year, ie deo, soap, shampoo etc are still stacked in cupboard , is it just a continuous cicle of filling my cupboards up, there must come a time when there is too much , ?
Sorry for being so nieve but never got bargains on this scale before
If you've got 108 bottles of one product, no matter how good it is, you'll be sick of seeing it (never mind using it!) eventually and will want a change.

I haven't seen any of the Avene bags or the Soltan kids packs in Croydon. It's so annoying as it's quite a large Boots. Also, no TS going cheap ... grrr.:smileyhea "here, hare, here" :smileyhea0

Had a rubbish Bootsing day today... made a trip into Manchester to try the Market St store for the Avene bags.. no luck, they had been cleared out of them.. nevermind I think, I'll get the AC voucher for the Lynx 'click'.. agggh!!.. no vouchers for me in the AC machine either... so all in all paid £5.20 parking and got a bottle of water
Liverbird, weren't you going this weekend..? might not restock the Avene bags?!
Tried the Manchester Fort branch on way home (Cheetham Hill).. lots of bits reduced.. there were loads of TD face masks reduced to £3, quite a bit of Hard Candy stuff.. *but a sign above the HC stand states which brands are on offer, and that reduced items are excluded from the £5 off 2 items.. so didnt try my luck with the reduced..
Bought a few items, wanted to pay in 2 transactions to get the choccies and voucher.. first one went thru, went to pay... NO AC CARD  turns out I'd left it in the machine.. a nice man got it back for me... phew!!!.. put second lot thru (No.7) got my freebie bag.. paid with AC card, no voucher as I'd paid in points... could have put them all thru together and used the 150 points off a £20 spend... doh!
ps.. if anyone got the reduced hair sets (Mark Hill, Trevor Sorbie) the bags from them are ideal to use for making up TD gift sets.. I had a few Lee Stafford bags (daughter used the products).. they are perfect for a cleanser, toner and face wash..ecm09 wrote:Thanks for the tip - It worked!!
