I bought the book from the book people when they came to ds school. I looked online but couldn't see it think it is old stock. there is a different cupcake book on the book people website £2.99 I think.saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200
£60 deposit paid :j £100 paid:j £40 paid:j0 -
savingholmes, a craft box is a fab idea, I have loads of papers and 'bits' that I could put in boxes along with glue and bits - what a FAB idea!
I absolutely love your flowers, my garden is a disaster this year, really spent no time at all planting or tidying, must do better! If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

I can't believe my luck, went into a charity shop this afternoon and got 10x notelets, 1 address book, I writing book and 2 pencils, all with a flower motif on them for £1 ( was reduced from £6.99 to £4 to £1!):rotfl: . I bought two of them and have split them up into four gifts as look rather big, thought will suit as teacher's presents or and part of hamper for grandma / nan.:D I am going back to see what else they have.........Just HAD to share that with you...;)
Love the crafty box saving holmes and the flowers look fab. bunbun, lovely hampers as always.0 -
I am learning new skills using this website I'd not used photo bucket until yesterday. I've put more of the spoils from my shopaholic
days to good use and created a lilac themed giftbag set - see pics. This is for a teenage girl . No new money spent - value approx £20-25.:j
Contents
Recycled gift bag from Birthdays, recycled heart shape (from flowers or balloons), WHSmith pebbles photo box and journal (approx value £10-12), couple of small ikea candles (approx value 30p), lavender essence from Bodyshop (approx value £2), Little hug me Eeyore - approx value £6. all coverd with purple tissue paper from 59p set at Wilkos!
I really like the idea of colour theming - not really done that before but it does make it look more planned and thoughtful rather than a hodge podge of things....
I think I've done what I can for now with things I already had "in stock". I have the following projects still on the go:
Gardener's basket - so far I have knee pads!, radish seeds, folding saw, backyard composting book all contained in a green metal and brown slimline wicker "basket" / hanging object. I think for it to work I need to buy some more seeds or bulbs or something. I'll have to investigate my shed for some more ideas/objects!
Still have a red themed basked on the go and a green one - but need more items so will have to wait... I have 2 items to go in a car basket - waxing solution and screen wash.... Not sure though whether anyone I normally buy for would welcome a car basket????
At Christmas I normally buy for:
Dad - Impossible to buy for - has lots of unopened DVDs:mad: ! Loves shirts but has too many, does a lot of DIY but wouldn't necessarily appreciate it as a present - is trying to reduce sugar intake - suggestions welcome!
Mum - likes Ikea boxes, jewellery, but after that I'm stuck. She is usually on a low carb diet:p
MIL - houseproud, likes scarves, expensive Nao and Ladro, flowers, jewellery... again suggestions of more affordable presents would be appreciated:rolleyes:
Niece 1&2 - both now sorted with craft box and lilac gift bag:j
Nephew 1&2 - sports and Wii mad - normally give them money as their house is overflowing with things - so may still do so unless anyone can suggest something suitable and affordable
DS - normally wants electronic games - do have £50 in Games vouchers - so if they ever stock what I want ie Wii fit board I may use them towards that and then that would be his main present
DD - easily pleased with books, crafts, stickers, hair things etc - I have a large stock of these type of items so just need to find a not too expensive main present. Aged 5-8 - suggestions welcome
OH -likes electronic games, Cds, DVDs, books, trying to cut down sweet things - any thoughts? It's his birthday very soon too and I don't have anything yet as he hasn't suggested anything we can afford!
Sister 1 - green themed box likely to be for her
Sister 2 - may need to be postable overseas???
Sister 3 - started a grey/silver themed box with Grey's Anatomy series 1 as the star present (bought wrong series by mistake!!!! but she is also a fan and would be thrilled with this)
Sister 3's partner - seems interested in crafts, otherwise perhaps car or diy basket was considering before
Birthdays
Still need presents for
Mum
MIL
Sister 1
Nephew 1
