Can this be done........

l have a LG800 on payg and wouls like to keep the phone.Does any phone shops do deals where you can put your phone onto contract for a selection of your choice on minutes and text, also for the internet. If this can be done is there anywhere l can look for a price listing to pick what l would like..

You don't have to use the handset supplied with a contract.

Provided your handset is unlocked (or you use the same network you are now on payg) you should be able to put the new SIM in and keep using your handset.

You then could sell the new one.

There are two options for getting a contract without a handset.

One is to go SIM only. Most networks offer these and will give you a good set of included items that is usually better than if you take a contract. They will also let you add internet packages, although T-Mobile, 3 and O2 seem to offer the better net packages of the five companies.

The other is to take a contract and the companies will some times offer you a cash payment in liu of a handset. I got offered £100 for a 12 month contract with O2, but the SIM packages are effectively £10 cheaper than their respective 12-month counter-parts, so it saves me £120 over the year.

£15 per month or more (up to £35?), depending on how much you get.

    O2 - http://shop.o2.co.uk/tariffs/sim_only

    Orange - http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/pay-monthly-sim-plans?WT.svl=202

    T-Mobile - http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/shop/mobile-phones/sim-card/pay-monthly/

Three - Doesn't seem to do SIM only other than on PAYG

    Vodafone - http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/mobile-phones/sim-only/pay-monthly/
