The Mark Group advertise £99 for cavity wall insulation (applies to all) - http://www.markgroup.co.uk/grants.htm - has anyone had experience with them? I tried filling in the online form but it stated that due to unprecedented demand it would take a while to process.
Also, a few people have mentioned on this and the other thread that they received a voucher to have cavity wall insulation installed for £75 from Powergen - please can you let me know where you got the voucher from? We have their online tariff therefore do not get any post from them. Does this apply to all regions (including Yorkshire)? Does anyone know where to get a voucher from?
Many thanks

I was thinking about having cavity wall installation done.
Does it really work? Would I notice a reduction in my heating bills and would my house be warmer.
I am worred that drill the walls on my house (1930s) will cause more damage than good, plus wont it lead to more condensation as the warm air will just get stuck in the walls if you know what I mean.
What about loft installation is this any good?0 -
Here is something to think about http://www.ask-jeff.co.uk/building-cavity-wall-insulation.htm0

Mark Group is £99 for cavity wall and £99 for loft insulation - have been and surveyed the house so the backlog seems to be working through (applied for information on their website a few weeks ago).

Leaflet came through the door from British Gas with figures from the Energy Saving Trust that cavity wall insulation could save around £110 per year in heating costs for the average family. Apparently 33% of all heat produced in a house is lost through the walls, therefore savings could be significant (even more with loft insulation).
