Don't know how to fix it sorry but just to tell u that you aren't missing anything - I just had a look and the 2 posts after jthecrab are both chat!!:mad:0 -
thanks for responding anyway :-) ...I agree it is annoying about the chat on the codes when you're hoping for a new film, but such is life, I guess.0

Hi , I just had an email from seefilmfirst about a new service where you can get priority tickets by paying £1.50 per text for them to txt you and alert you to the tickets within 10 miles of your postcode b4 they email ppl! Not worth it for me as I only go to the odd film if I would have gone anyway but for ppl who tend to go to most may feel its worth it?! They say this is being trialed in Manchester - assume they will roll it out wider as some point. Just copied excerpt from email as its long !
" As we go into our third year, having given away literally millions of tickets to film previews, Seefilmfirst are looking at ways to improve our service.
The most common complaint we have is that tickets are gone by the time you get the code. Whilst there are usually +/- 200 seats in any location, tickets do go fast.
Early Alerts
We are now offering a small number of people the opportunity to receive text alerts, at least one hour before emails are sent out, to increase your potential to get tickets.
VIP Wait list
In addition to text alerts, we will have a specific holding area for returns - so, if you don't get tickets and you are still keen to see the film, you email us and we will prioritise you for when returns come in.
How it Works
We are testing this system in Manchester, and will only have a very small list. If you would like to subscribe to early alerts you simply text VIP, followed by your postcode to 84010. (Save 84010 as Seefilmfirst, now!)
Eg: VIP SS0 8JJ
To: 84010
You will never receive more than TWO texts per week, and you can 'unsubscribe' at anytime, (simply send the word 'STOP' to 84010) and you will still remain on our email database.
What information do you get?
We will send you the code for screenings, where there are tickets available, at a cinema within 10 miles of your postcode
The cost:
Each text will cost you £1.50. But remember, going to the cinema is more than £5 per ticket (and you get two with Seefilmfirst), and these are all previews - that is you see them before they are released!
When will it start?
We will send you codes as soon as we have screenings near you! However, traditionally, summer is our quietest period so whilst you may have had a film a week for the last few months, this may slow down now. By registering early, you will be higher on our priority list. Don't forget however, you can cancel the text message at any time."0 -
I have just had the same e-mail, but don't really want to pay approx £3 a week (they say a max of 2 texts a week) for the same thing I am now getting for free. Personally I would prefer a printed ticket and never go for the text option only printed tickets. It sounds as if they are tightening up their system though and this may be the only way to go. As OP and I are both Manchester I would be interested to see if anyone in a different part of the country has received this e-mail.0
