NSPCC Credit Card

Hi everyone,

I know there are hundreds of cards out there, but Ive hopped again and found I'd share this one with you.

http://www.nspcc.org.uk/html/home/newsandcampaigns/creditcard.htm

Its Intrest free on balance transfers AND purchases for 9 Months.  It is run by Royal Bank of Scotland.

I got the card very fast and have found the call centre staff helpful and have never been queued or got lost in the electrical abyss that is automated services!

Im not sure on the APR after the 9 months as Im like the bee from the #Captial One advert and jump about. They also donate money to the charity.

Im new to this site, if I have posted in the wrong section or thisd is not relevant let me know.

Cheers.

I like the sound of that card. They give money to me AND to charity.

  • This card is run by HBOS not the Royal Bank of Scotland.

It has about 10 references to the Royal Bank of Scotland on my Credit Card (including phone number and email address, address, small print) and no mention of HBOS on my credit whatsoever

What makes you think its HBOS - has HBOS bought out RBOS?  Have they changed name?

Does this stand for Halifax Bank of Scotland??

My card is new and I have the Royal Bank of Scotland logon on it.

    Thanks

Are you sure it's not just plain old 'Bank of Scotland'? They are now part of the HBOS group, there is also a 'Royal Bank of Scotland' (who do Mint cards amongst others). ::)
  • The NSPCC statement I have in front of me is headed Bank Of Scotland and I have just added this account to my list of accounts in my Halifax online banking portfolio. It is definitely a HBOS card. Many people get Bank of Scotland and Royal Bank of Scotland mixed up.

  • You are both right.

sorry for being a bit of a dumb !!!!!!!!

I saw Bank of Scotland and the 'X' and assumed it was the bank of scotland!

    sorry for any confusion!
  • It doesn't give much to charity though - £20 when you open the account and then 0.25% of your spending. Good deal for the tarts on here tho - you get your 9 months 0% and NSPCC gets £20. If you're planning to use it as an everyday card tho get one of the 0.5% or mors cashback cards and just donate the cashback to the charity of your choice!
