Tax credit nonsense ....... again

Well after my initial triumph of having all previous overpayments written off :j , it seems I am back to having them messed up this year.
I have just sent in my annual declaration, and we knew we would have been overpaid this year as hubby got a promo and his income lept by abouy 3k on what we estimated we would earn last year. No problem. The notices came today for last year's final and this current years. No problem with this years at all, as expected based on last years final income and the reduced payments we got towards the end of that year.
BUT on our final award for last tax year they have said they will be in touch to discuss collecting the overpayment as they are no longer paying us tax credits!!!! Are they completely stupid that on the same day they print that final one out, they also issue this years award notice!!!!!!
I sense a strong phone call coming on. I don't want a demand for the amount back, I want it taken off future awards as we will be getting tax credits for a lot of years to come!!!! How incompetent, and what utter nonsense!!!!!
