I went into Woolworths today and they are in the half price sale from 59.99 to 29.99, I thought this was a bargain because its a real digital camera for children from age 3. Its durable etc.....
I was going to purchase the Fisher Price one, which is 79.99, for my daughter's 3rd birthday but I'm glad I saw this because its exactly the same, if not better.:rotfl:

Don't want to rain on anyone's parade but we bought our 3 year old one of these before Christmas to stop her playing with our digi cam.
It looks lovely (pink one) and she loved it at first, however the screen resolution and refresh rate is absolutely dire. You also have to hold the camera perfectly still to get anywhere near a blur free image - nigh on impossible let alone for a small child. The resolution is not at all good enough to print either.
She is much happier using our Sony digital camera as she just loves to see the image she's just taken clearly on the screen.
If I knew how bad the screen was I would never have bought this camera. I have no idea how it compares to the Kid Tough Fisher Price one, but just thought I'd offer a warning.0 -
I bought my granddaughter a FP one for Xmas and the photos are really good. Much better than I thought they would be and they print out fine too. She's 4 so she hasn't got a steady hand yet either.
Mind you we get the oddest pictures!!!;)0 -

i'm definitely with you on this one... i wasn't impressed either. I ended up buying a crap one off ebay, just so he stayed away from mine. The cheap one off ebay does a far better job and cost me £6. Plus little one seems to prefer it as he thinks "it's daddy's" and very grown up (2 and a half years old!!)
I can see why the OP posted it and it does a job for kids, but I regret buying one.Hating Hastings Direct!0 -

How does the screen look on the FP one? I'm thinking of trying one of these instead...0 -

Disappointing
Please don't bother - if your child is under 3 don't get them a camera yet, if over 3 buy a cheap digital camera
won't be replacing
Don't buy this excuse for a camera..
Poor picture quality but fun and robust
What a dissapointment
cute, but a disappointment
More than disappointed
Before i start i don't give this product one star - i had to give it a rating above 0. So please note my personal rating is 0.

I bought a couple of cheap Kodak cameras for my kids to take on hols last year. They were recon I think but bought direct from the Kodak website, fully guaranteed and cost £35 each.
I was extremely happy with them. They take great holiday snaps, have lots of features but are very easy to use in auto mode.
The only trouble in the end was that the kids didn't actually use them much, mainly because they were having too much fun to take photos. So that was good!
The moral? Don't buy a good camera, get a good holiday instead.
(By the way, we had two holidays last year. One was in Barbados and the other was 45 minutes drive away, in the Wye Valley. Barbados was great but the week in the Wye Valley was without a doubt one of the best holidays we've ever had. So by "good holiday" I don't mean exotic or expensive.)0 -
I thought the pics from the FP one was terrible but just my opinion...buy the kids a disposable one or a cheapy digital. You may walk and you may run
You leave your footprints all around the sun
And every time the storm and the soul wars come
You just keep on walking0 -

I think that is the final nail in the coffin. It's a shame big Children's toy manufacturers don't think that kid's can't tell the difference, or aren't worth spending what probably amounts to only a couple of quid more on the product to give it a half decent screen and resolution. I mean, parents are obviously willing to pay for a 'kid tough' product - which is a great concept, but come on we want some sort of quality for the cash!
Ah well, we live and learn, I shan't be buying one now.0 -
Hi, this is my first post, i just wanted to let you know that i think this camera http://www.ebuyer.com/product/138461 is a better deal for children as you can print the pictures with it being 5mp, it's a very reasonable price and it comes with a waterprooof case which is pretty child proof if camera is dropped. I have bought one of these for my sons 4th birthday although he hasn't had it yet i think it's perfect for a 4 year old.0
