Tax Credit Phone Interviwr - HMRC

Hey,

Anyone had any experience with these? received the letter out of the blue and it is asking for information such as:
  • Bank Statements showing childcare payments between XX and XX date (dates when we started receiving 30hrs free childcare it looks like)
  • Nurserys OFSTEAD registration number
  • invoices / recipts from childcare provider showing "deductions for government grants/salary sacrifice"
Its a legit letter but I just haven't herd of anyone else I know receiving one. Our circumstances haven't changed since last renewal of Tax Credits and I have completed all the usual 3 monthly 30 free hours renewals.

Its also addressed specifically to my Mrs who works part time rather then me. we are registered together on all documents relating to tax credits and child care usually.

thanks!

Sorry, your right. Teach me not engage my brain.

In that case it will be a generic compliance letter. many are doing the rounds this time of year, following various various data matching exercises the government does.
