Domestic and General Warranty

Hi all,

I recently bought a new build house and I have been redirected to the Domestic and General warranty customer service when calling the number to register the Zanussi dishwasher warranty.

I was told that they would register all warranties in my behalf, including Bosch, CDA appliances as part of their serivce.

I have never came across such service so I am wondering if it can be trusted or should I call Bosch and CDA myself ?

Any recommendations ?

There is no reason why you couldn't contact Bosch directly but you may well find that there is no Bosch warranty in place so this is why you are being directed to D&G.
The builder may have purchased the appliances for all of the houses at a discounted price and these may have been supplied without a warranty because of it.
Part of the Bosch warranty may require you having a receipt for the appliance, something that you won't have as the dishwasher wasn't a separate purchase.
