Asking for Statement of Reasons after being paid?

The DWP have been very quick to restart my PIP payments, just under two weeks after my tribunal. Now that I've received my back payment, is it safe to ask for a SOR? I know general advice is not to incase it gives DWP thoughts about appealing, but if they've already paid me, will be too late for them to appeal?

You should not ask for a Statement of Reasons unless you are thinking of appealing to the Upper Tribunal - which you obviously aren't. Preparing a Statement of Reasons is a lot of work for the judge and it is my understanding they are not written unless requested. The tribunal system is overloaded as it is.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0
