  • Very informative, I shall be using this guide to plan my trip to Lapland. Has anybody got any recommendations for essential things to do, places to go, time to go?
If anyone has used this guide or got any tips to add to it for those of us planning on going, your suggestions would be greatly appreciated
  • We went last year 19th to 24th December (in the school holidays). 2 adults and 1 child for around £1500 for the 5 nights.

We flew with FinnAir from LHR to RVN (Via HEL) for £160 each return.
Rented an estate car for 6 days for £120 via a broker
Spent the first night in a snow igloo (on AirBnbB) for £200
    Did a 25KM (3hr) snowmobile safari and a 6KM husky safari for £150 each
Did the following 4 nights in a lovely apartment in Rovaniemi for £180
Reindeer sleigh safari for £15 each
Entry to Santapark (2days) £30 each
And then a few pounds here and there in the supermarkets for food
And loads of other stuff to do for free like sledging and SataWorld.

I booked a husky/horse sleigh ride via a local company , cost €70 each . No queue , private transfer there and back , not rushed.

TUI wanted €140 EACH for a similar trip .
