I have just remarried so my will is no longer valid, we live in a shared ownership property that my husband purchased before we married. So I have money to invest in the property but
Want to know how best to go about it by that I mean taking a share of property, ie giving money to own 20% of property

You both should do new wills, and it should be done with a local solicitor who will go through all the what if scenarios at a face to face meeting.

Do you and husband have any children from previous relationships?

When I got married I put my house into both names - the thought of my wife buying into the property didn't cross my mind.
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

The house is currently shared ownership, it would make sense for the OP to reduce the percentage owned by the housing society by putting some her her own money in.

Was it shared ownership? Surely it makes sence to buy more of the property......
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....
