Overnight stay in outskirts London with parking

Options
I’m planning a theatre trip in London bank holiday May weekend. Train fares are expensive, so thought about driving down and staying overnight. Have stayed at Travelodge in Walthamstow before and the got tube into London. Was great. If I did similar, I would need parking for car. Any recommendations?

I would also ask what do you mean by "outskirts"?

The further out from central London, the more expensive the travel into London, and the longer it takes to get there and back. About the train fares, and other in London April to May is a great time of year to get cheap plane and train tickets to London and it can be the best time to visit check different sites for train fares, https://travelsites.com/train-bus-other/ If this is during the week you'd then have to balance cheaper off-peak travel (after 9.30am) vs much more expensive peak travel and a decent early morning start.

    Where are you travelling from?

Hotels near Stevenage Station can be cheap, and it's only 20 minutes into King's Cross by train.

We sometimes stay at the Red Lion in Radlett and take the train from the station across the road into central London. They have a large car park.

Hi I there!! We did this in Feb. I’ll need to ask my OH where he looked, but he managed to book an air bnb which was near a tube station which meant we only changed once to get on a main line tube for our destination. It turned out to be a lovely house converted into 5 room, our room had 3 single beds and a double bed and we had access to 2 bathrooms and kitchen where we had full use, continental breakfast was provided, I’ll find out how much he paid. Also did you know when you catch the tube, if you use your contactless debit card to get through barriers, it will cap and not charge you more than around £11 no matter how many times you tube throughout that day.

Across the road from the Travel lodge in Walthamstow is a shopping centre. You pay £20 for 24 hours parking there.
