Cancelling a Wedding Service help!

We get married in 2 weeks and my partner wants to cancel her makeup & hair.
She didn't like the makeup when she had a trail
The makup artist wanted to do another trial for free and she still didnt like it
The makup and hair stylist work together
My partner just as a nagging doubt that they haven't actually done a wedding before and are blagging it!
She therefore wants to cancel them both do the makeup herself and hopefully find another hair stylist
Now heres the important thing is no contract has been signed and no deposit has been paid!
I want to make sure there could be no kind of comeback in the terms of them charging us or being taken to court.

It depends on what proof they actually have that you made a contract.
You do have a contract, it doesn't need to be written down it just needs to be verbal, but the chances of them taking you to court are slim unless there is a paper trail, email or texts for instance.
What puzzles me though is why you let it get this far after a bad trial? You should have just said no then.0 -
She’s had her hair and make up done twice for free? If she doesn’t want to proceed on the actual day, she should offer to pay for the services which have been provided so far. Or has she paid for the two trials?
Has she explained what she wants and where the results so far are unsatisfactory?
With only two weeks to go, she will be lucky to get a good hair stylist with available appointments.0 -
Married now for over 30 years and my wedding day was the only occasion when my wife had her hair done and wore make-up - I hardly recognized her ! (until the smile came)

Ask them for photos of the weddings they have done, or contract details of brides so she can ring them.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100/100miles

She's had a trial, she wasn't happy so I'd say she's good to cancel and there shouldn't be any comeback. That's why they do the trial before the day. Arguably they're in breach of contract if they can't provide the service as agreed and to an acceptable standard.0
