I am already on a great fixed tariff with Octopus from May 2018

Given the price cap is going up and all tariffs currently already can't beat what I have now, should I :-
A) switch now
B) wait until my tariff finishes in May

Really unsure. Any advice?

Why pay more for your energy now when you have 2 - 3 months of your current tariff ?

It is worth keeping an eye on the market as you have already realised that your next tariff will almost certainly put up your energy costs. Nearer the expiry of your current deal you may see an offer that you might think you wish to sign up for a few weeks early.

Also now is the time to check your annual kWh consumption (hopefully from your own meter readings) so that you can use a couple of comparison sites. Also worth checking your sign in and account details with those sites.
