Venice transfer Airport - hotel

Hi
OH and me are heading to Venice for a long weekend in a few weeks.

Can anyone advise a reasonably priced way to get from Marco Polo airport to St Mark's ? I don't want it to cost a fortune but I also don't want to take hours getting there by using the public bus.

The water bus takes a while but it could be a very pleasant way of making the trip.

Water taxi is the best. Not individually, Aqua Linga, I think it's called.

The last time we went, we took the Alilaguna water bus from the airport as our hotel in Cannaregio was close to one of the stops. We have also used the airport bus and then the No 1 Vaporetto down the Grand Canal. The other options are more expensive.
