After this year I have only 3 years of National Insurance Contributions to be paid for the maximum pension. If I am working after the 3 years will my employer just stop paying for this and is it possible I may get a pay rise because of this?

NI doesn't just pay for your pension you know. It pays for other benefits you might be entitled to.0 -
You pay NIC until you reach state pension age; they do NOT just fund your pension, they are unofficially a tax to cover benefits.Know what you don't0

Thanks for that. I only came aware of the 'funding' when my work coach at the time mentioned it in passing. Thx.0
