Query re balance transfer

in Credit cards
Hoping someone can help me. I have a credit card with 1500 limit. Currently owe 1375. Want to do a balance transfer. I used the eligibility calculator which brought up a card with 29 months 0% interest. However the cards credit limit is 1200.
How does it work? Would I Be able to transfer to this card if I paid off the difference in what I owe against 1200? Or do I need to get a card with the same credit limit? Thanks

when you go through the application it'll ask for the details of the card you want to transfer from and it'll tell you how much you can transfer (inc fees) which you'll then put in the box that asks how much you want to balance transfer. I think the £1,200 is an assumed credit limit for illustration purposes. You may well be offered more (or less) than this based on your circumstances and credit history0

Hi, we move threads if we think they’ll get more help elsewhere (please read the forum rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board. If you have any questions about this policy please email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.
I’ve moved your thread from the ‘I wanna’ board to the ‘Credit Cards’ board, where it is better suited.
