I have a house rejected due to room size.
For a room to count as an apartment is has to be 6 meters square.
The room in question is 5.22.
Has anyone got this problem and is there a way round it?
I’m losing out on houses all the time... it’s impossible to meet the number of apartments with house value.

Are you trying to buy a house to make into an hmo?Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

Are you posting from America? (Use of 'apartment' instead of 'flat').
If so, I regret that we in the the UK will probably be unable to help you.0 -
I think the OP might be referring to the Low-cost Initiative for First Time Buyers (LIFT) scheme.

Whatever's going on, more info is needed if this is going to be anything more than a spleen-vent for the OP.0
