In my own home, watching a really old fella fix the back door lock .... he invited me to a vintage steam rally... how creepy is that....
The other one was "by compliment slip" - I'd invited a loft conversation man round to do a quote - he sent the quote and attached was a compliments slip asking me out for a drink.
Two big fat Nos there then!
It's all a bit "creepy" when they are already in your house in a professional capacity and step over that line.0 -
Met a friend in a pub and her chap had invited a mate along. Turned out his family ran a funeral home and he wondered if I'd like to see where they prepared the bodies. I got a phone call from a boy I had met two days before at a party (friend of a friend), he asked me out, but could not say when or where as he had voluntarily sectioned himself that morning and did not know when he was coming out, but wanted something to look forward to.... I told him to ring me when he was feeling better.

If a post is deleted should the writer of that post not be informed of what was wrong with that post?
I commented that I would like to know how old the op was when the girl who was two years younger asked him out.
Is this a case of an eighteen year old and a sixteen year old as it would be very different to an eight year old and six year old.
Whilst that is a mystery to me I'm more bothered as to why that particular post was removed without an explanation? What was wrong with it?
The weirdest place I have been asked out was in the hotel on my honeymoon. By a waiter who asked me what I was doing later.0 -
I haven't been asked out myself but I did leave my number on a compliment slip for someone I'd been asked to give a loft quote for as I was too shy to ask her out face to face.0

Working as a locksmith once, and out of character for me I did ask a nice looking lady out as I wanted someone to go to a vintage steam rally with.
